As regular visitors to Fetish.com will know, we use the highly scientific polls on our front page to find out what you, our readers, are interested in seeing on the site—and just to get to know you better. Now that we've collated the results from our first two polls, it's time to take a look and see what we can learn.

Fetish Polls:

Poll 1: What do you want to read more of on Fetish.com?

We were really excited about this one. After all, these polls, with their Gallup-worthy sample sizes, are our chance to find out what you want to see. Coming in at first place, with 43% of the vote, it's… sex.
Hmmm. That category might be a little too broad. It's nice to know that the other 57% of you think that we have just the right amount of sex on the site, though. Or maybe you're just really serious fetish types who've moved beyond that boring old sex stuff. More for me, I suppose.
Well, anyway, in second place, with 30.7% of responses, it's … er … “fetishes." Oh dear. As you can probably appreciate, this is a little worrying for a site called Fetish.com. On the one hand, you like what we do, but on the other hand you apparently want even more. Well, we prefer to see that as a challenge, so watch this space—coming soon: even more fetish. It's going to be nothing but latex and elaborate medical play scenarios as far as the eye can see. It's a sacrifice but we'll make it for you, our readers.
Down around the bottom of the chart we've got how-to articles with 8.8% of the vote, events with 7% of responses, personal stories at 7% and psychology and kink theory at 3.5%. Now that I've consigned my lengthy exploration of the political context of adult baby play to the round file—wait, that actually sounds kind of interestingI can take comfort in the fact that we don't really publish a lot of this already.
So that's what you want to see on the site, and overall that seems to be in line with what we've got. Good stuff. Now on to the really pressing question: restraints.

Poll 2: What is your favorite restraint?

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the top two here are leather cuffs at 31.4% and rope at 28.5%. Duct tape as a favorite restraint made a strong showing at 14.6% – we apparently have some very handy readers. 10.2% of respondents picked traditional metal cuffs, showing that the leather and fabric lobbies haven't won that old BDSM argument completely just yet—even if they seem to be in the lead. Down at the bottom of the heap we've got the higher-tech armbinder option at 7.3%.
But the weirdest outcome is that 8% of you claim that your favourite restraint is carbonite. Carbonite, which a) is only common in a galaxy far, far away and b) which renders the people you use it on into immobile statues. So either about 8% of you are Hutt crime lords or way, way more of you are into wall plaque play than we had suspected.
