In the last few years, hundreds of different fetish websites have opened up, all promising a different way to scratch that kinky itch. But does E-fetishdating succeed? We take a look.

E-fetishdating and community

The website's biggest selling point is its massive community. The homepage boasts hundreds of thousands of members. A number that will immediately awaken the interest of any fetish lover who has found themselves on barren dating websites.

However, if you want to find users whose interests are specifically whipping, choking, gender-bending, or public humiliation, you’ll struggle. The website is marketed much more as a general dating website for those interested in kinky play as a whole.

E-fetishdating: first impressions

When you first load up e-fetishdating, you’ll immediately be met with several sexy pictures of submissive and dominant women. As well as the latest batch of online users. It’ll come as no surprise to learn that these users are all female. As a result, you instantly sense that this website is very much tailored to men.

You’ll need to set up a profile before searching E-fetishdating. You can either sign up through Facebook or create your account manually. You’re only given two gender options when signing up. For a website that boasts such a large community, you wonder where are all the transgender and gender-bending users?

After entering your first name, email, and age, you’ll need to fill out a short advert for yourself. E-fetishdating does offer default jargon for your advert. Something that many actual users seem to have stuck with, but I’ll get to that later. Other questions stray away somewhat from the fetish theme and are more suited to general dating websites. Overall, though, creating an account takes no more than five to ten minutes.

Features of E-fetishdating

E-fetishdating is structured very much like other standard dating websites, like Plenty Of Fish. It has a basic search format. You can specify age and location before searching. However, the free version only has these two search criteria. As a result, this means you can't rank users by when they were last online. You may risk sending a message to someone who hasn’t logged-in in months.

There’s also a Tinder-style ‘hot or not’ function. You are shown pictures of other users and can then rank them as either hot or not. The other user is then messaged if they’re ranked as hot. This is an easy way to break the ice if you’re looking for a quick, cheeky meetup.

Unfortunately, as a free user, there is very little you can do on E-fetishdating. You are unable to use the full search function or even message other users. You’ll also repeatedly be met with pop-ups asking you to sign up for the membership package. Obviously, this can get annoying very quickly.

Users of E-fetishdating

E-fetishdating has been around more than seven years and, as a result, has built up quite the following. The website claims to have hundreds of thousands of members worldwide. Indeed, when I searched my local area I was delighted to find a large number of local fetishists.

That being said, without the ability to search by when users were last online; it’s impossible to tell how many of these accounts are still currently used. Who’s to say that the majority of them weren’t people like myself who signed up, were left unimpressed, and then never returned? I also noticed that many of these accounts had the same default kinky messages that e-fetishdating.com allows you to enter when you first create your profile. Moreover, very few profiles felt unique and personal.

After signing up, I was also almost instantly met with a message from a very attractive user. At the time I didn’t even have a picture. Given how I would have had to pay for membership to reply, this made me a bit suspicious.

Overall, I was not impressed by E-fetishdating. I found it too similar to standard online dating websites. Other than the odd profile asking "to be tied up and taught a lesson", I found it all too conservative. Any trans, CIS, or users interested in gender-bending also have no way to label themselves as such. The lack of functionality for a free user was very jarring and didn't make me want to pay for membership at all.

Have other websites not satisfied your kinky itch? Give Fetish.com a try. It's free to join - and won't disappoint!
