How many not genuine?

Recommended Posts

It seems to be to me that more and more females on here are not genuine and probably Scamming online. Lots of women want to go directly to emailing with no chatting/messaging on here and the emails are pretty generic if you do go that far. Should guys be wary of these women who maybe eventually be on here just to scam and have others already noticed this practice or experienced it? I know there are lots of the cash pigs on here but at least they ask up front what they want and you can just ignore them.

Yeah I’ve been on here a month there seems to be a few “princesses” that start off charming and then are like “You want this you have to pay” haha Bye love - there should be an instant block & report option so they can’t ever rejoin...

I think any free dating service you find online - be it kink related or not - is an open forum for these types to pray on others. Case of you pay for what you get. Be thankful that sites like this are free and give the chance to communicate with potential people. I am. Facebook has been known to have cat fishing profiles. Guess once you have been through it you know what to look for and avoid. I always tend to go by - if it is too good to be true then probably isn’t real. But I suppose we all fantasise about having that beautiful young model type interested in us.

there has been a bit of a problem on here - and other places - but, to be honest, the profiles are obvious and shouldn't fool any but the most foolish/desperate.  It's not a problem specific to here - and I have found there does seem to be quicker action cleaning things up here.

It's just as concerning how many fake men there are..I was targeted by a blackmailer a couple of years ago on another site, his attempt failed incidentally, perhaps I've been lucky, perhaps its because I'm not submissive, or perhaps I just see red flags someone new wouldn't, but I haven't come across many male financial scammers, and none, as yet here, however, new to the role submissives, especially female ones are particularly vulnerable to fakes,  predators, and abusers disguising themselves with a single word.. Dom..and they are likely to hurt much, much more, than a bank balance.

As already said, almost all websites where people interact have scammers, phishers, catfishers, fb, eBay, etc etc..the online dating world is no different..fetish sites are prime hunting grounds unfortunately, always report something you think is suspicious, the admins can't do anything if they don't know about it.

I'm sure you'll soon develop a sense of when something doesn't feel right, sounds like you've already got an idea of what to avoid..that will only develop with time.

Yes, be wary, ( but don't think it's only guys who have to be careful, or that the female scammers don't impact on female members, believe me, they do), but don't let that wariness spoil your experience here, or anywhere else for that matter.

I guess further to the above point, there's also a lot of male timewasters whom arrange to meet people and then do not show.  This happened to my wife who'd arranged to meet a sub guy and he just didn't show.  I've also attended filming days where out of 4 guys who were meant to show, there was only me did!  I know that's a different type of scam or fake - but, this is still a concern.

Thank you for all the comments. Pleased to say this site is trying very hard to get the scammers off the site as 2 that seemed dubious were asked to verify there profiles and are now crossed off so you can't contact them. Members wanting to go straight for emailing does seem to be a signal to beware for me as the site can't do anything after that and I will continue chatting within the site until I've gained real trust. Very good point that females should beware too and something i didn't think about but can i be excused as I'm not looking there.I suppose ideally none of us should be fooled but the fact that scammers are about must mean it actually does work for them which is a shame but hopefully it will just be them wasting my time and nothing more serious than that before i realise now.

I had an issue with a woman (claiming to be) supposedly from London asking me for my number so she could chat to me via WhatsApp. I refused until we had chatted more. When she sent her details for me to add her it was a number from Ghana. I reported her to the administrators and they banned her. They are pretty hot on that type of thing. So word of caution, don't give out your details freely as it may be a scam. Chat to people first, make sure your comfortable. Kik is also good as you can connect with just a username, therefore no personal details. Stay safe, stay kinky people!

Hi...I know what you mean...I reported a Dom...who  has reappeared under different user names....contacted her ..was led to a very hardcore website...she is a very determined little bitch...demands payment just for the privilege of a reply..!...So yes an instant block should be allowed...It is not right that this website should be used as a gateway for Doms to lead us to another website for them to make money from our pleasures...Cassie..

someone attempted to scam me! not sure if from here but threatened to put a new profile of myself out with all my photos on... unless i transferred 300$ to the phiĺlipines because she was a private model.... im a model so told her to transfer me 500 pounds to my manager lol... then they showed me the profile, i was quite proud and told em to do it! i then told them i will trace their location back through the url on their pics and then burn them to death. funnily enough ive heard nothing else!

That's almost a given now..and one reason I always ask for face to face social meet early days, that way when they don't show up, or aren't what they represented themselves to be... (had one guy show up 40 years older than he'd claimed for example) they can be quickly moved on from, and less of my time and effort is wasted..(probably one reason the Professionals charge a deposit..) I also insist any prospective submissive comes to my town, I used to travel, but it can get expensive which is fine IF they show up, but I rarely arrange a meet and know for certain they will anymore...c'est le vie..

if you notice though now some of this stuff is overlapping and interlinking...

i know on another site, for fetish, there are women who ask for payment before chatting because they are sick of getting their time wasted by guys saying they want one thing when they have no intention of going through with it and only want their needs seen to. there's actually a funny meme i kept seeing on facebook (when i had an account) about asking guys for £150 deposit to date you in case they were wasting your time and i'm tempted to do that but doubt i ever will.

i guess you've just only got to do what you're comfortable with doing and watch out for signs of being mislead or manipulated into doing what you're not comfortable with. i do think misleading people will one day become a crime in the same way that emotional abuse has become one.

I think the whole paid-services-dom thing somewhat hinders the experience here but also I completely agree with 712i826 (LOL WUT?), a lot of people come into this places thinking it is a "free amateur porn hub" or some bulls**t like that, so the line is blurry, building a healthy community is not an easy thing, derailing it on the other hand is, well, you know how most of social networks do, so it is a matter of building relations with those here who are genuine, a lot, a few, regardless we all should try to push for a healthy community. Love and light to you all.

although context is everything - I think there's often a strange line when there's professionals using, effectively, a dating site, to tout for business.   So, I think - context permitting - alarm bells would go off if I was cold contacted by someone looking for my business because it's a bit... like... guys should be seeking you out.......
