Violet Wand

Get ready for an electrifying time with a violet wand

For kinksters into violet wands and electro stimulation

A violet wand glows, buzzes and hums and even has its own particular smell. It is designed to give static electric shocks. There are two kinds of violet wand, the mechanical and solid state. The solid state is best for most people, though more advanced users may prefer the double power of the mechanical machines.

The electrodes (glass implements) are what give the violet wand its name as they glow a bright purple colour and look like a wand. When run over the skin they produce electric shocks. The wider the head the gentler the shock, so go for small heads for maximum pain!

What is a violet wand?

This item of electro play kit uses static electricity to give a shock. It is made up of a base unit that plugs in to the power and attachments called electrodes which are usually made of glass (sometimes metal) in various shapes and sizes.

How to use a violet wand

Make sure the violet wand is turned off until you have attached the electrode. Start off with the wider attachments that have lots of surface area and make sure you start out at the very lowest setting. Test the electrode on yourself first, on your inner arm for example, so you know how it feels before running it over your sub.

When you start it is best to keep to the area below the waist and always keep the violet wand moving. Don’t let it rest on one area for more than a few seconds. You will see the skin redden, when this happens move the electrode to another area of flesh. Turn off the unit every time you change the electrode and be sure you start from the lowest setting each time. This will avoid any nasty unwanted shocks.

Are violet wands safe?

Yes they are when used correctly. Firstly, never uses on anyone with heart problems, pacemakers, insulin pumps (or other internal electrical devices) or nerve damage. Do not use whilst pregnant, on irritated or broken skin or near eyes or inside ears or inside the vagina.

When you are using one, always keep the wand moving to avoid giving a nasty sunburn type burn to the receiver. Use on naked skin as some materials can melt onto the skin and take off all metal jewellery including earrings. Check your kit regularly and never use a cracked electrode. If you keep to these guidelines, violet want play is perfectly safe.

What aftercare is needed after using a violet wand?

Using a wand over the skin can result in a red burn similar to sunburn. This is more likely in people with very pale skin. Don ‘t worry, this is perfectly normal and will disappear in a day or two. If the skin is reddened use Aloe Vera or another kind of cooling gel to take any sting out of it. Don’t indulge in further violet wand play until the skin is completely healed.
