How do you know when your period is about to start and when ovulation will occur.

In general, they’re about 2 weeks apart. But everyone is a little different. Tracking apps can help, but are problematic in USA bc of police surveillance.

Ovulation usually coincides with thicker more noticeable vaginal mucus.

Some people ovulate more than once a month, so they can get pregnant unexpectedly.

Many people have obvious pms symptoms before their period starts, but the symptoms are variable per person and also through different stages of life.

So you can figure out when you ovulated by taking your cycle length (start or one period to the start of another) and subtracting 14 days. The luteal phase is always 14 days. So with a 28 day cycle you ovulated on cycle day 14. 30 day cycle and you'll ovulate on 16. You need about 6 months of data to be able to get a good idea on cycle length.

Police surveillance on period apps? I've never heard of that. Some other apps I have but not that. Good thing I have nothing of interest. I use a fairly basic app because my period is consistent but also kinda shifts. We can also get cravings for certain things when it's close to our periods. Cravings for food or attention as well.

the luteal phase is not always 14 days. 12-15 is just the average length. it can be 10 days, it could even be 17. like literally everything about the menstrual cycle, it varies from person to person.

All of the apps except one that’s based in Germany agreed to share their data with the government when roe v wade was overturned. They intend to use the data as further evidence against afab people for getting abortions.

Correct but it is the most predictable phase of them all. This is taking a very complicated process and shortening it down to a paragraph. Ovulation predictor kits and natural family planning can help figure out exact cycle lengths. Imspeaking to a trusted medical provider instead of online is definitely the way to go for individual care.

Some people do lick the vaginal canal though. Because it doesn’t just have to be about the clit, that’s not the only place there’s nerve endings to feel pleasure. Is the primary focus the clit? Sure. So basically there’s only one period tracking app that doesn’t and it’s based in Germany. I always forget which one it is because I don’t have a period anymore but if you google “what period tracking app based in Germany will keep my data safe in the US” there should be a blog post that they have that will pop up as one of the top results. That’s how I found it again the last time I went looking for it.
