Sexuality Beyond Consent

Has anyone here read Sexuality Beyond Consent?
I feel it’s an important book because it shows radical ways of dealing with trauma and intimacy… but it’s definitely not a manual. It can be confronting and even triggering.

I’d love to hear how others experienced it: What did it open up for you? What felt difficult?

And as a follow-up: Which books do you recommend? Which ones are your “bibles” and which ones do you even consider maybe dangerous?
Consent can be taken to extreme consent as well. If you spend just 5 times on Reddit you will see it. There are people saying that they are absolutely against their partner masturbating laying in bed next to them while they are sleeping. Apparently consent is required for that. Touching your girlfriend’s tits while both of you are taking a shower also requires consent, in case she is not in the mood to be touched. I got called a rapist and heavily downvoted for saying that my ex-gf loved to be woke up being fingered. Apparently, prior explicit consent is required in every instance.

I'm adding it to my list!

Yeah Ima check it out too.

May seem off topic, but "The Prince" by Machiavelli has always titillated me as a treatise for intimate relationships, as well as professional ones.

I've seen it mentioned before and I'd really like to read it!

I'm in the middle of reading both The Ethical Slut and The Topping Book, which I'm really enjoying. I'm finding The Ethical Slut especially affirming.
