Aside from chemistry and mutual interest, there's things like what activities are in and what's out. There's also establishing what the true starting point for the dynamic is. Jumping in bed quickly is typically a recipe for disaster.

In the age of long distance relationships, it's not unheard of for a couple to have "remote" intimacy already before meeting in person. That first "in person" date is a different vibe and the location and setting must be set with care no matter how often the two of you have had video kinky time together. The internet has made a lot of things possible out of order and my post was acknowledging that reality. But your point is well taken.

I am still learning about the LS so this is not meant as kink shame, but these are example settings of where I wouldn't be alarmed when in Mom Mode with my k!ds (two adults in a kids museum would definitely keep me in high alert, like the solo man I saw at the playground this morning until he started a workout at the bars). Look around your area for High Tea - it's a fun reason to dress up formally and have a tea party. An outing to the mall and stopping at a Claire's for some fun accessories and then the Build-a-Bear or Squishmallow or Lego store. Some Trampoline parks or Ninja Warrior or rock climbing gyms are fun and active with specific times. You can also rent bicycles and explore nature if it's not too cold in your area. Art studios with fun project classes: ***t and sip/puff, ***t your own ceramic, splatter ***t, etc. Lots of holiday villages and markets and light shows are starting, take some homemade hot cocoa.
