Is there a place for Tantra in BDSM?

Kamasutra was pretty explicit for our times, yet may be a handy tool in bdsm. But is Tantra "to soft"? The aim of tantra is to strengthen connection... The floor is yours 😉😎

tantra is a core component of my sexuality and i look forward to seeing what people have to share :) great question!

It really depends on what are you into and what is your play partner into. It can work great to improve connection. If you both are into that kind of spirituality.

I have seen lot of bdsm ppl that also implement tantra <3

If a sub is already overwhelmed (in a good way) by sensations—maybe deprived of vision &/or hearing—I don’t see any reason why tantric embellishment would be problematic. But what do I know, as a highly curious noob?

Great. Now I’m turned on.

I am convinced that most people reaching that point are just unaware or they do not recognize it for what it is. Mostly due to the fact that most people relate tantric with new-age hippie type stereo-type, soft-spoken people, and soft music while bdsm is more profiled by leather, masks, straps, and *** devices… it’s all different levels of headspace being accessed and stimulated by another human being that doesn’t know the way so they must explore to find their way. This is why I am so in love with them both and anything else that uses my senses to enlighten (and also lighten) me. But as the comment before me says. What do I know. This is strictly based off of my uneducated and personal opinion based strictly on my own personal experience.

I think a more appropriate question is whether there's a place for BDSM in Tantra.
.
The answer is "hell, yes."
.
Most people will never get to this, however. Because it takes work, deep understanding, and having self-evolution as a high priority.
.
And Tantra is a huge, and tricky to understand (especially through English or other western languages only) field. I feel it's been purposely kept that way to keep more and more arm-chair wannabes out.

The Bilnd men and the Elephant by John Godfrey Saxe is a great way of thinking about most people's knowledge of, or experience of Tantra. A lot of people describe it by their personal experience, which is just one snall part of what it is.
.
From my exoerience i can say:
.
Learn Tantra because you want to learn Tantra. It will impact you sexually, for sure.

See the whole elephant.

Don't hug the part of the elephant you experience and imagine that to be all there is.
.
Finally, let me come back to the OP's original question.
.
Yes , there's a place for Tantra in BDSM. You could even say that Tantric truth is behind every aspect of BDSM.
.
There, i answered.
.
And it's because Tantra helps you to move the causation locus from 'out there' to 'in you' .

If you got all this way to the end, here's a gift for you. Its the best way i can describe how Tantra fuels BDSM (And everything)

Nothing is the way that it is, just because that is the way that it is.
Everything is the way that it is, only because slmewhere, somebody started to believe that that is the way that it is.
There is no fact, apart from somebody's belief, none.
.
Embodying this is the beginning of Tantra.
.
Seeing the becoming of new things from seed to fully blown, manifested 'truths' is the high school diploma of Tantra.
.
By your own power and command, making new things happen. That's where you leave formal schooling and convene with the God's. Directly.
.
And, my friend... If you're on this journey, one of the things you will surely do, is revamp how you see sex, power, control and your relationship with everything. And BDSM will most likely enter your way of being.
.

At first define tantra. The is a huge misconception. What is it? There are books on the market written by physicians who describe the healing of the body . Gut problems, stomach, anus / hemorrhoids up to the sexual part and arousal. What do you want to implement? Only lingam and yoni or far more?

Tantra is about the sacredness of every aspect of life, including sex. At the same time it focuses on energy and tries to step beyond the limitations of egoic fixations. A lot of what happens in BDSM seems almost to be the opposite, frankly speaking. BDSM includes such a vast spektrum of practices, ideas, individuals and scenes, it's even hard to put a label on it or understand what's going on. I think it's a complicated topic, one would have to find the right questions first, even to start.

In the Left Hand Path of Tantra are also several elements of BDSM included. Unfortunately, in the western world most people only know the Right Hand Path and even that most people don’t understand in its full form.

Bdsm is neither hard, nor soft. Bdsm is neither sexual or nonsexual. Bdsm is what one makes of it. You want a gentle caring dynamic that involves getting tied up and suspended then cuddle up afterwards? Go for it. You want a dynamic where you're a feral beast nibbling on your partner? Go for it. You want to include tantric elements into your play...

Tantra is hot, edging is entry level practice. Tummo aka fire breathing and tantric practices are part of sexual alchemy.
