Suspension (sort of) bondage

[Ro****]

I'm curious and want to get some thoughts on this.

Late last week, I visited a local proDomme for a session. Part of that session involved me in a rig for suspension bondage (wrists in cuffs above head, pulley winch pulling it enough to hold my arms up but not pull me off the ground).

When we finished she mentioned that she was surprised I was in that position for so long with no apparent discomfort (she did keep checking...). Apparently most people find it uncomfortable or even ***ful after a very short time.

The time involved couldn't have been more than 30 minutes and I wasn't free hanging so I was surprised she saw it as unusual.

So, my question is what have your experiences bern of this position? How long have you been like this? Did you find it uncomfortable or ***ful?

30 minutes with your arms over your head shows you have control over your breathing. Anyone can be suspended. But core strength allows you to stay up longer.

The trick is to have decent wrist cuffs. If tend to move on before 30 minutes but agree - I have known longer.

Full weight suspension- very different!

I agree with the type of restraints because you need something that distributes the weight over as many linear inches as possible. Years ago I was a demo bottom and I ended up doing suspensions for sometimes close to 90 minutes. It can become excruciating so that’s why they were checking on you so much.

We've discussed full suspension sometime in the future and, yes, she says there's a different set of cuffs for that.

Totally. She has a fully equipped Dungeon with different cuffs for different purposes. 90 minutes does sound brutal. Worst I did on the past was model a humbler. That required me to be very bendy...

Your body, your limits! If your fingers weren’t numb, your arms weren’t cramping, and your heart was fine pumping *** up that high, the time or what other people can handle doesn’t much matter.

Be honest with the Domme, though. If next time you start hurting after 10 minutes — tell her. Past performance doesn’t set a standard for today.

As a heavier sub, I have to do suspension bondage differently so that it isn’t ***ful or stressful on muscles and joints. My Dominants do check ins and we use aerial yoga rope instead of actual rope because of my size. It’s more comfortable. When I was thinner I could do different positions with normal rope but we have had to modify some things over the years to enjoy it.

Doesn’t sound surprising. I made sure to find the most comfortable wrist and ankle cuffs that have no rub and zero dig while being wide enough to have good *** circulation. Never had a complaint or seen any pressure marks. I’d describe them as a wide soft pillowy spikey death metal bunny lol
