Is 2000’s-era sexy chat room energy still out there?

I used to love going on chat rooms when I was in my ***s and twenties, but I worry that for some reason that’s become a thing of the past! That’s why I came to Fetish.com - other channels just feel either to commercialized or like there’s not enough of an online community aspect to it and instead there’s too much pressure to appear at in person events to begin to grow a network amongst other sex interested ***rs. What do you think, is this online sex positive chat still a thing?

it definitely shifted from yahoo groups, ICQ and others to more visual because of internet s***ds. The visual provides more stimulation I would think.

I think it possibly evolved into things like VRChat, where you can use virtual avatars and voice chat along with motion trackers to get your "point" across? 😜

I remember chat rooms of the early 2000s.  And.... like on one hand there's a reason that kinda format died out.  On another hand, like we're not ~20 any more, and the people who are that age have their own sexy chats and it is probably less appropriate to be among them  

Especially as.  Particularly for the example of the OP. Looking at your age, and winding back to how old you were in the early 2000s - yep, that was a huge problem.   Moderation of chat rooms got a little out of control so there was a big problem with things like minors, and of course these also became a kinda playground for early bots and scammers. Which I am not saying are no longer an issue - but given how much tech has moved on, it's something which is likely to be worse rather than better

The other thing as well early 2000s - most people getting onto the internet hadn't grown up with it.  That they'd be time limited on dial up, or perhaps not have a home connection at all - and then, boom, go to college and have access - or the home broadband rollout, etc. and people kinda young and horny online for the first time.   Now of course, it's not so new and shiny.  Anyone under the age of 30 has pretty much had online access their whole life.

My guess is you can probably find some Discord communities like that. Some smaller adult cam sites can sort of provide that vibe in their live show chat rooms. I use Joystick.TV

I dislike discord, but I'm aware it's probably one of the closest comparisons

I get the vibe they're a little less wild west than some of the 2000s chat rooms, and a lot require approval, so require you being known

I remember back in the day I had my first D/s experiences in a avatar based chat program called Voodoo chat.. looking back it was so hilarious the things we did like virtual marriages and linking avatars.. I miss the silliness of it.
