Double standards

Can someone answer this for me.. why is it a female can be bisexual and no one thinks twice about it! But when a man considers himself bisexual liking both men and women society frowns upon it?

[Deleted Member]

Because women are oversexualized anyway. Most hetero man drool when they think about lesbians - which in their mind is the same as a bisexual woman.
Not so much with man in general.

Because the world is not as "progressive" as it claims to be. I experience that daily as a nonbinary queer person. It sucks massively.

It is also because both men and women see bisexuality women as a fetish or a way to experiment, men get off to it whilst bi-curious/straight women get to have their "uni lesbian experience" at the expense of bisexual women.

Why can’t men be under sexualized? It’s the puritanical beliefs buried deep inside that tells us sex is bad. Rather than making an ideal to bring people down to an “acceptable” level why not bring them up!

It is quite remarkable that people are not allowed to be as they are, and that even in 2024 they still believe they have to judge.

[Deleted Member]

No one frowns upon that anymore bud. It’s 2024. Stop looking for an argument when there isn’t.

Nobody within this community does, but the wider public as a whole is still largely intolerant. It’s fading out slowly, but far from quickly enough.

I don’t think anything about it. I just want everyone to be happy.

There absolutely are still a bunch of people, even in the swing lifestyle and kink community that frown upon and look down on and place judgement on those men who are openly bi. And I've seen it from both men and women too. I've seen them be super friendly to a couples face having introductions and as soon as they walk away I heard them start talking "I think we came to the wrong meet and greet, there's so many gay guys here"... I'm straight but not phobic nor judgemental at all, so there's also times that since I'm straight people will talk badly about the bi guys thinking that everyone just thinks the same as them since we're straight... And I honestly can't really answer your question as to why is still good on. I know it was the same way even 20+ years ago when I was in high school. If a girl came out as bi she was instantly Ms Popularity, but if a guy did it he was bullied by most people until they finally changed schools for a fresh start. I guess the easy answer is that it still goes on because people are immature, closed minded, judgmental, bullies, and have a little bit of a superiority complex. This exact issue though, is one of the reasons I dislike how there's such a demand and insistence on everybody labeling every tiny little thing they like to do, and titling themselves with up to 10 terms as well... I think it's all so that people can know where place you on their internal spectrum of respect and judgment..... I have always hated bullies and stuck up for the ones who wouldn't or couldn't stick up themselves. And anytime I hear people talk down about the men of the community, I absolutely have and will continue to always say something. I try not to ever be rude about it at first, and just offer some quick insight about being equal and everybody should be allowed to enjoy themselves freely and openly in whatever activities they may like doing. And as long as they're doing things not illegal, not hurting anybody, and everybody is consensual then it shouldn't draw any judgment from anybody that it doesn't directly affect. And I have and will most likely lose friends in the community due to doing what I feel like is the right thing to do. I live by my own moral compass, and disrespecting and judging people for simply liking things that you may not like is ridiculously asinine, and I truly wish it was like some of these people here ^^^ are saying and "nobody cares about that", but it's just not true. I'm glad that it is for them and whatever area and circles they're in, that is freaking great!!! Things have come a long ways towards being acceptable compared to how they were 20+yrs ago whenever I first started joining the lifestyle culture. But they've still got a long ways to go yet still before all of the judging and turning up noses will be truly gone...

Just my opinions and experiences that I've witnessed with my own eyes and ears.

Because society is still intolerant and fucked up. Just stay authentic. You're right and beautiful the way you are.

Becouse biologically whoman are worth more and whoman like people that have the power to get anything they want.

Men dont really care about things like that in their partners. Because it’s their job.

This means that if you have to resort to men who aren’t worth as much you’re worth less than people who get what they want.

People can cry and pretend this is untrue. But keeping your kids alive is important.
Even though the problems have mostly universally been fixed in the west and the instincts are somewhat redundant.

Possibly because man see a female bisexuality as a possibility for enlarging their territory and if men outing it’s for females a possibly uncontrollable situation because they are ***ing of loosing the power they have caused by the fact that they don’t need the coitus the same way the males mainly do.. I was with a gay friend in holiday and mentioned how easy it was for him finding someone for having a nice time…

[Deleted Member]

Me as a guy had no chance in a country in which 92% of the people are catholic .. conservative structures and something even worse humanity experienced in the past are a example .. in the 2. worldwar being lesbian was not at all as problematic as being homo sexual out of the reason that a lesbian woman was still able to give birth and produce soldiers

*a guy looking for female company

[Deleted Member]

Äh sorry but what I wrote about the coitus is absolutely misunderstanding.. I wanted to mention the motivation for being sexual is statistically higher in the case of males ..
And also patriarchy causes that difference you experienced..

Because fundamentally there are different attitudes to men who sleep with men than women who sleep with women based on religious doctrine, and ingrained ideas that that came out of the AIDS crisis. Bi women don’t necessarily have it easier, they are dismissed as a straight experimentation phase and over sexualised. Whereas bi guys are dismissed as a step on the way to gay (kidding yourself) and treated as lesser and disgusting. See “penis preference”. As an out bi guy, I’m all too aware of the stereotypes and confusion, but the one thing which ***es me off more than anything is bi women who have issues with bi guys. The number of times on swinging sites that I’ve seen bi women with “no bi men” on their profile makes me want to scream. Everyone is entitled to their personal preferences of course, but that kind of cognitive dissonance wrapped in internalised homophobia drives me nuts.
