Ketogenic diet. It was a mental game chamger, for me.
Not to surprising though, the origin of ketogenic diet was to address mental ailments.
Works brilliantly for me. 💁🏽‍♂️

Yeah its hard to feel confident working out or comfortable in my body (and sharing it) with the accumulative symptoms. I'm sure it's a mental hurdle?

Therapy and medication

[Deleted Member]

Usually family, friends and neighbors. Stay well connected with people you know. Consistency is not repetitive motion but doing something because you know it will make you a better version of yourself.

If you’re looking for this in a partner you will need to understand that logic doesnt play any part of your relationship you accept what you want from it.
nowadays people are very superficial so choosing yourself over your partner is something you need to decide if you’re in the right or wrong.

For me it was 2 things. First, talking with someone (was a massive help - probably saved my life). And secondly it was to do small things. Don’t set yourself big goals. Start by doing something like making yourself a nice breakfast and tea/coffee if you drink

Therapy is wildly important. With a good therapist who truly cares and understands what you're working on and working towards. Also start managing your negativity. Realigning your thoughts to be more positive is so freaking vital. It's so easy to fall into a rutt of criticizing and disliking yourself. You're stuck with you for life though. You may not be who you want to be right now, but you're working on it and you deserve to love yourself through the journey.

I don't have advice but you are not alone

Therapy and medication is helping me get through grief. I think its the best option. I also advise to try multiple therapist before settling on one, find the best fit for you.

The biggest advice I can give from experience and also years of therapy, is to try and track back what is the cause of the depression. Once you can understand the why, then you can feel it. And I mean really feel it all the way through until you can’t cry another tear over it. And do it again and again every time it comes to you. Don’t try and push it away. Always accept it and feel it. Learn from it. Ruminate on it. Eventually, there’s not much left to think about because you’ve let yourself grieve it. My past aways comes back up to let me know it’s still there, but it’s not as bad as before and the depression doesn’t last as long as it use to. I was under a cloud for 20 years until I finally saw some light… it’s a tough road. If ever you want to talk, I’m a great listener. 💜

I'm Keto & it can have a big effect on mental & physical health, losing weight & toning up, without really needing to do exercise makes you feel good, whilst it can help ease/eleviate issues like diabetes & arthritis, which does give you motivation to get moving more & want to do exercise, helping with mental health.

Getting all that processed, high carb, high sugar foods & seed oils out of your diet, just makes you healthier & it's surprising how quick you start to feel the effects when you just cut them out of your diet & eat wholefoods, feeling better physically & mentally, feeling fitter, more motivated, more focused, with your health & fitness, but in life in general too.

When it comes down to it you are the only one that can change it. Hope I’m not sounding rude or anything

Darned if I know. Life kinda feels like an empty shell, and not the pretty beach kind.

As a therapist, love yourself. But I would say first step is just get up. It is not as hard as you think, the splash cold water on your face.

Excersise, eat well, and therapy

The secret is to take it by baby steps. Small victories everyday, that will eventually amount to a routine of conquests.

No shortcuts..!!! Need a reason to feel good about yourself. So ask yourself what should happen in two years that you will be proud of yourself. It can be writing a book or finishing a project or making a video. What ever first decide what it is. Then start working for it. The moment you will do something for yourself you will be start responding to others too.

Another option come to right dom. A right one will make you realise the difference of good and bad things.

Occupy yourself.

If you are ***d to eat plate of blanched silverbeets for dinner everyday you'd also be miserable. Perhaps these silverbeets represent something in your life that you dislike, or something you're ***d to do. If you have only the one thing to focus on in your life, and that one thing brings you no happiness, you have nothing to distract yourself with.
Now let's say you're not specifically required to *only* eat these grass flavoured greens. You still gotta eat them, but you can also have other food on your plate. So, you want to eat bruschette topped with burata and balsamic glaze, a stack of pork ribs and a side of velvety smooth buttery mashed potatoes, just like that you've practically forgotten about the silverbeets.
Point being that if you have a smorgasbord of food to eat, are you really going to be all that sad about also eating food you don't like? Chances are you'll probably care a whole lot less.

Silverbeets = depression. Ribs = jobs, hobbies, friends, family, entertainment, etc.

Variety is king for managing depression. Can't focus on being sad when you've got shit to do.
Medication isn't required; virtually everyone can do this.

Seek professional help. Don't expect others to fix you (or you fix others)

Find something that gives you meaning and get a little exercise each and every day. If you're able to, do some meditation each day as well. If you find yourself still struggling, meds+therapy along with the former.

Hello! I, too, suffer from severe depression and anxiety. I've found (even though it's hard to do) a lot of self care. If you feel like bed is home for the day, try to make your favorite simple food when you get up to use the restroom, or grab your favorite movie/show/book whatever you're into, indulge. If you feel like scrolling sad music and crying. Cry. Emotions are (E)- Motion, the chemical energy inside our brains. It needs an outlet. So feel them. In rain showers, butterflies will land and rest their wings because the rain will destroy them. So in life's storms, the rest the sunshine will return. Feel better fellow kinkster.
