You hear a scream from further down the halls

A sound so loud, you could hear it through the walls

It awakened you from your deepening slumber

Head foggy, all you cared about was going to her

A friend awakened with you, said from across the room

“What do you think it was? It will be morning soon…”

You knew there were others who could attend to the Queen,

Yet you opened the door, and prayed not to be seen…

.

“You are a fool! You will be a dead man if caught!”

However, all you cared about what terror had brought

The Queen to scream out such a horrible sound.

You slipped from the room, hoping to not be found

Silently you sped through the decorated hallway

Until, several feet away ahead, two servants did say

“Who knows if the Queen will experience any more?

Didn't that scream shake you down to your very core?”

.

You silently hide yourself in the corner of a doorway

Waiting for them continue along their own way

Past the door to where you knew the Queen did reside

You didn't know how much longer that you could hide

So you gathered your courage and said a silent prayer

You knocked on the door, which opened to a servant’s stare

“Just what are you doing here?” the servant did hiss,

Her body trying to hide something that you couldn't miss

.

In shock, you push past the servant standing at the door

To find the beautiful Queen that you served, now on the floor

“My Queen! What happened? Let me help you to your seat!”

You rush to her side and help her once more to her feet

“What are you doing here? Where is Ashley, my aide?”

You knew that you should leave, and yet you stayed.

“I am here, my Queen. Please, do not mind this awful slave!

Why are you here? Is it so difficult for you to at least behave?”

.

The started hitting you; first smacking your face, then your back,

“You need to leave right now! Before she has another attack!”

Ashley then spatted out, as she continued her *** on you

You tried to ignore Ashley’s hitting, trying to think of what to do

“I’m so sorry, my Queen, I will have them removed from here.

She told the Queen, while her voice was suddenly laced with ***.

Ashley started to come in between you and the now standing Queen.

Yet you stood firm, not once budging from where you had been.

.

“Wait! I know you from somewhere, do I not? Just who are you?”
The Queen asked inquisitively, and you honestly didn't know what to do.

“Ashley, do you know if they are part of the new lot brought in recently?

You would think that these new slaves would have some common decency!”

The Queen scolded you, before turning to walk over to her pillowed bed,

Yet another attack came again, and she fell, almost knocking her head

On the wooden night stand that was decorated with gold and silver.

You were standing right there, where you were easily able to catch her.

.

Once more, she let out an haunting and ***ful, ear piercing scream,

You moved quickly to lay her down, whispering softly, “My Queen,

What is it that ***s you so? What is it that causes these attacks?”

Ashley pushed past you again, giving you another ***ful smack.

“Leave at once! Or I will summon the guards! Go on! Get out!”

She yelled at you, yet you wanted to know what this was all about.

Why had their normally beautiful, yet sometimes capricious Queen

Would suddenly let out such a ***ed and haunting, awful scream.

.

“Tell me what happened here? What is causing the Queen ***?”

Ashley sighed heavily, before she looked at you and began to explain.

Apparently the Queen was recently cursed by an devilishly evil man

Why he did so, you were finding it rather hard to fully understand,

What you did know was that your beautiful Queen somehow needed you.

“Please my Queen, please let me stay, and tell me what aid that I can do.”

You ignored once more Ashley’s attempt to remove you from the room,

Waiting anxiously as you knew that the guards would be there soon.

.

The Queen silently stared at you for a full moment or maybe two,

“I've met many slaves in my life, but I somehow feel like I know you…”

She then turned to Ashley, saying “Leave us, and send the guards away,”

Ashley wanted to argue, yet she bowed, turning briefly to you to say

“I expect you to not, under any circumstance, cause our Queen any harm,”

She then bowed and left the room, hardly easing your own alarm

At the Queen’s sudden condition, nor your own reason for staying at her side

Your concern was plain in your green eyes, something you yet still tried to hide
