The Feeling of Needle Play

I've been getting more and more excited to try needle play for the first time. Even just looking up fun patterns to try etc and I was wondering what it actually felt like for some of you.
I have piercings & tattoos but obviously it'll always be different sensations depending on the body part, the amount of needles clustered together etc.
So what's it generally like for you? Do you have a favourite place? A favourite thing to have done to you once they're all in? A favourite gauge? And what're "*** buttons" like if you've tried them?😊🪡
