The final goodbye
Or so they call it
I think we finally said ours…
You were a falling star
I thought I caught you…
But in truth I simply fell beside you
Two stars falling as one for a time
Two demon energies dancing a glow
The universe blindsided by our shine
I watched you blossom and grow
You taught me as much as I taught you
But now it’s time for us to part
Daddy will handle his business
And my big brave girl will face her world
My strong hand once held yours so tight
Every new morning to each dark night
I was your safe place
Maybe I always will be…
We had a wish… a plan… a dream?
But the universe makes its own rules
Defying it is a folly of fools
You’re a falling star still
Energy flowing where it will
I see you shining from a far
And I’m proud of you
Goodbye, my sweet Princess
