Peoples locations wrong

Has anybody had this issue lately where it says certain people are much closer than they actually are? I have now 2 different people be in wrong locations and they weren’t aware why.

It is worth reporting that bug to the support centre.  Go to help and create a ticket, to notify them of the bug.  Its something I have seen once but thought the other person was fibbing!

I’m in Boston, Massachusetts at the moment for a short stay and I’m still matched with people still in London, England but the miles are correct.

Yes I've had this all the time I've been on this site saying people are only 30 miles away when actually they are 80-100 miles away and it's been like that for years unfortunately

Yes I’ve been noticing that too much of the problem that says they are in the New York vicinity are not but rest assured that I am from STATEN Island

Yes. It shows people on my nearby list and I look at their profile to figure out they are thousands of miles away from me.

That is probably cause they are traveling

Traveling does throw this off a lot and it takes a bit for it to reset

I have noticed it is a straight line city to city. Navigation around lakes and such are not accounted for.

I know the IP address location can be a bit off, it's based on the location of the ISP.

Beware I have had peoples profiles say they are near only to have it say they are 6464 miles away the next day. It's scammers spoofing there location on mobile with a VPN hoping that more people will message them if they think they are nearby. Confirmed scammer profile with stolen photos from an insta account of a different name and area, reported it. It pays to pay attention to who checks you out.

I run across this issue all the time for the state I live in they say they live closer with them or in the state come to find out they only been here 2 days and they actually live somewhere else and what bothers me the most is a lot of people are not online no more and they still keep them here instead of deleting profiles that aren't online or active they leave them up it's frustrating they say safeties first will have safety's first then why do people put up fake ads they have people in there company that is supposed to look into this and keep it safe and for people that supposedly or online they're not they're supposed to say keep it safe you waste messages when they're not actually online no more or in the state frustrating a lot of scammers and players and fakes or on this and I thought it was a sight that was away from all of this but it grows like cancer
