What Makes a Connection Feel Real to You?

Recommended Posts

For me, a real connection isn’t about how often we talk or what we do it’s about how it feels. When the energy flows naturally, when the conversations are honest, and when silence feels just as comfortable as laughter… that’s when it’s real.

What about you? What makes a connection feel genuine in your world?
What you just described. Genuine connection is rarely found unfortunately.
When boundaries are respected and worries/concerns listened to. Also just that comfortable feeling.

A connection feels genuine when the masks we project to the outside world fall off when together. Trust and the ability to be vuln@rable with each other. Honest and truthful communication that also seeks to understand motivations. Expressions of mutual concern for one and other, generally through each person’s respective love languages.

You’re so right. Real connection does feel rare these days that’s what makes it even more special when it actually happens. It’s worth holding onto when you find it.

Haha I see you 😄 glad to know I’m not the only one who still values that kind of real connection

Exactly. Respecting boundaries and really listening go such a long way. That feeling of comfort where you can just be that’s everything

Beautifully said. That kind of vulnerability and honesty takes real trust. I love how you mentioned love languages too understanding each other’s way of showing care makes all the difference

A connection is when you can have conversations about every day subjects. A conversation that isn't one continuous sex talk. That gets boring and I can only answer the same question once, not over and over again. The underlying sexual attraction comes out in puns, or a short moment of explanation of what you feel after spending several calls together. Some discussion is about other sexual encounters and telling you stories and getting open, real opinions about it. To learn that you are valued for your interests and at the same time, learn what someone else values without judgements. Talking about life and society. Funny things that have happened to you. The mixture of learning about someone's interests in and out of the sex room. Feeling seen, heard, and desired on a deeper level is key to sexual interest. Sorry about the rambling.
