LTR Vs Kinky Dates Vs BDSM Lovers

Recommended Posts

The question is kind of in the name of the title, but what is the actual difference between each one?

Because even after spending a lot of time on this app, I am still very confused as to what the difference is.
New myself, taking it at face value:
Long Term Relationship, is the long haul. Kinky dates would be more spontaneous, but consistent, BDSM would be more spaced out than Kinky.

LTR is dating, kinky dates are dates that have kink… think events, sex shops, strip clubs, etc… BDSM is let’s D/s and play…

That kind of makes sense. Thank you

BDSM isn't inherently sexual. So bdsm partners may just have play and not be involved sexualy.
LTR (Long-Term Relationship)
• Focus: companionship, commitment, emotional connection.
• Goal: building a long-lasting partnership (love, stability, shared life).

Kinky Dates
• Focus: fun, sexual exploration, or trying “kinks” occasionally.
• Goal: casual or short-term encounters centered around fantasy or thrill.
• Not necessarily emotional or committed.

BDSM Lovers
• Focus: power dynamics (dominance/submission), bondage, impact play, role-play, etc.
• Goal: deeper, structured BDSM connection, can be casual or committed.
• Usually involves rules, trust, negotiation, and consent.
While some of the above response are valid, they are also fluid with each individual or within each different dynamic.
Ltr is a relationship. Kinky dates is just a date, doesn't have to be the BDSM kink and doesn't even have to be about sex (could be being naked in the woods together etc). And BDSM is BDSM, cause yeah, kink isn't always BDSM

True, neither is kinky dates though. Some people's kink is literally not having sex (e.g. cuckold)
