What Truly Turns You On—Mind or Body?

[xv****]

I’ve always felt that attraction hits on two levels the physical and the mental. Looks can pull you in, sure… but it’s the mind, the energy, and the conversation that actually keep you there.

For me, the real spark comes from someone’s presence, their confidence, their vibe, and how they communicate.

What about you? Do you feel the connection first in the mind or in the body or is it a mix of both for you?

Being wanted.

I’ve met some ugly tens in my lifetime. For me, it’s about the vibe. If that doesn’t exist, in my opinion, or better off to just cut our losses and go different directions.

From a male perspective, which is more attractive. A very attractive female who talks but fails to back it up V an average looking female who talks and back it up in actions? So what tuly turns a person on? Intially the body but longer term the "mind in action" is the short answer. Why? The body [& actions] reveals what is in the mind, they are both entertwined. Attraction is therefore mental aka in her softness, respectfulness, openness to explore/be explored, seeking to look and give her best and show being what she claims aka trustworthy. However no matter how good or strong the mental attraction which is rare as females tend to not connect talking with consistent actions aka are often a contradiction in terms, if she is not in good shape even with makeup and lingerie, lasting attraction will fail as again the physical reveals what is in the mind with very rare exceptions if at all. If they lack discipline/don't take care of themselves phsycially, they will lack it in other critical areas day to day. Hence their focus on vibes/subjective feelings to avoid objective actions creates a disconnect that does not foster lasting experiences[mind in action] hence no lasting attraction.

Both, physical attraction is and will always be a thing but the mental attraction is the cherry on top for me. Personality, humour, good conversations ect makes a person soo much more attractive imo …

Noetisexual, sapiophilic Lady here. I am often visually enthralled by things and people etc, yet not moved beyond initial novelty of there isn't any other draw for me. I may enjoy the look of someone, even imagine interacting with them in a passing mental notion, but to actually engage, and engage on levels deeper than surface physicality, there Must be a connection of some sort, typically intellectual, but can be something like a mutual understanding and or appreciation of art, or music...

The rest of my body doesn't want to respond if Brain, mental landscape aren't stimulated and properly aroused.

Demisexuality is also an orientation..I've been totally turned off by physically appealing people because of a unattractive personality
