Films that had too many sequels

Recommended Posts

Is there any films that had to many sequels. In your opnion. Theese are mine

The fast and furious films . I think the first 3 were great. But they got so stupid. I mean the 9th film they were in space.

The *** of the corn films after the second one should of stopped. But they made 9. Then tried to remake it. Then tried to reboot it.

The hellraiser films after the second 2 I think should of stopped. There are actually 11 of them.

Is there any films sequels that you liked.

I like Blade , Home alone  , Look whos talking , Back to the future , Nightmare on Elm st and Higlander films. To name but a few

Indiana jones. First three were great. No need to keep going

Actually going to watch Scream 7 in the theaters on Thursday. Love all of those movies. 3 was the weakest of the bunch but still not a bad movie. Actually binging all 6 previous movies before seeing the new one

Blade Runner original with Harrison Ford and blue runner with Ryan Gosling should have had a sequel, also the goonies. And Warner brothers should have let Tim burton do Batman 3 with Michael Keaton.

Studios weren’t thinking about franchises back then. But they should have done a lot more with a lot of actors back then before they got old asf. Shit even Step Brothers should have gotten a sequel but PC culture ruined comedy.

I read the other day they’re making a Toy Story 5. I gave up after the third 😂

I’m not a fan of Home Alone after the second one, after that it’s just a bunch of random brat vs home invader films.

Also, Rocky. Same old thing, every time.

Lmao 😂 I laughed so hard at the fast and furious part by the 9th one they were in space 😂

Home alone home alone 2 maybe 3 but it’s a toss. Lethal weapon should have stopped at 3. Indiana jones should have stopped with the trilogy. Kingdom of the crystal skull and the new dial one are just out there. Blade is a go to for me also. How about down periscope? It’s a funny off the hip comedy. Maybe like to see a sequel.

The matrix, brilliant film, totally new and cutting edge, can watch it multiple times no problem, however the sequels, nah no thanks

I totaly agree. Way to stupid story lines..

Terminator, should have stopped at the 2nd. Alien and predator films too. Not a fan of the newer ones. Star wars, should have stopped with return of the jedi for me. Though at a push I can deal with the prequels. The last 3 were abominations, and need to be retconed out of canon.

Way to many good franchises are flogged to death for a quick buck, with no real empathy with the films that made them great.

The list is endless and shows a total lack on modern creativity sadly.

Sequels on a whole rely on nostalgia, some rare examples of them working...Star Wars New Hope, Empire Strikes Back and maybe the first few Mad Max Films from the 80's 90's.  I won't even start on a list of those franchises mangled to death, the modern list is way way tooooooo long.
