Co**** Posted March 19 (edited) The new members search page does not seem to remember the 'ordering' and defaults to the 'by last rise up' order. I tend to want to view that list by a different ordering so would love if that order would be preserved across uses of the site. Another thing that caught my eye which while probably not a bug, I would consider a bad feature is the change that doesn't display on the profile if the user has comments filtered. In order to see this now you need to either attempt to comment or send them a spank to see if they have their filters set so that you can or cannot initiate contact. Having it visible on the profile page itself was a lot nicer, as I it lets me know immediately if they are open to contact, which is one of the purposes of this site. Edited March 19 by CoffeeIsLife
Ar**** Posted March 19 I find the whole aesthetic of the new design/setup uncomfortable and difficult to look at, hence I've kept with the old style. That might work for you too if the new version is giving issues?
ey**** Posted March 19 jesus, the new site is awful I was on the verge of giving up and deleting my account - it is that bad - thankfully the "use old style" exists, I guess for now. But it's a total disaster. Difficult to read. Difficult to navigate. Forum makes no sense.
Li**** Posted March 19 I agree! It came as a very unpleasant shock when I accessed the site today. It is truly awful. I cannot find the features that I want. I've gone back to the old version, but God knows how long they'll keep that feature available! 😠

Co**** Posted March 19 Author I hadn't even noticed the 'use old style' button until someone mentioned it. Switched back now.
kinkymasterandrew Posted March 19 The "filter indicator" isn't present on the app (only checked android cut/uncut) so maybe that being removed was intentional; but I wish it was present on all the versions, it's useful.
wh**** Posted March 20 Take it from me, pal—ya gotta share near the top of your post what version of the app and android/iOS you’re on or QA will look at this, say “oh Christ, I ain’t trying to replicate that bug” and move on
lo**** Posted March 20 I hate it so much when sites try to be like applications. We already have a FET app. That works well on your phone, and the aesthetic for it is fine for that format. Why would anyone want that on a desktop?? The site functions fine with the current aesthetic and functionality. Why does it have to look like an app?? It's a website, not an app. Leave the app look to the app, and keep the website look on the website. (Not to mention all the bugs on the new version of the site).

Not Android OR iOS. I feel like that was pretty clear from everyone's posts, including the post's headline, and I don't think Devs would be confused about it since they are actively developing it and pushing it to users right now.

But hey you never know do you, so why not just speculate?

You seem bothered by my reply to the comment above, so let me just say that I’m sorry if I offended you. Enjoy your weekend!

Wi**** Posted March 23 Every time I log on it goes straight to the new version even though I've not changed it, annoying.

It seems to not remember if you switch back to the old version, so next time you open the site it comes back.. Or at least it was. Today it seemed to remember. (I think they made the new version the 'default' so unless you specifically opt back to the old site you see the new one)
VK**** Posted March 26 Stumbled across this. Asked the delightful TF if she knew what was going on. The FetMods had logged the ***d new version as a bug immediately and I believe sanity has returned, momentarily. I do, sometimes, still get flipped and have to flip back (about the only thing I know how to do on that is find "Old Version"), however.... since January... old site is not an option for new accounts. The writing is on the wall, TF says there's no official date for Armageddon (joking) but like me, she sees the way the wind is blowing. I suspect that rather than whine here where few that matter bother to read, a better approach might be to bombard the Fetmods/Raise "Issues" with Tech support. Needs a pool of experienced users to test their 'Beta' version and provide feedback, like most sensible sites. There seems to be a drive to offer a similar experience to the App, which is not going very well. I found the new version to be rank awful and that's not Luddite talk, it really is shyte.
Wi**** Posted March 27 I'm still getting the new version even though I've gone back to old one, so are they making us change to new version?
CaraVirt Posted March 27 @VDK and all Just to clarify: this isn’t a bug, but part of ongoing testing of the new version. Early on it may have looked like a bug, but this has since been clarified. We know it can feel a bit inconsistent at times — if you’d like to share feedback, you can do so directly via the option in your profile menu (see screenshot). This helps us keep feedback in one place while things are evolving 🙂 3 hours ago, Wilkie said: so are they making us change to new version? I hope that is not the case, the new version is a major eyesore, and to be frank, you'll be driving away users who are under the age of 25.

Not just under 25; I'm 45 and it's the final nail in the coffin for me.

If it was ***d upon us, without significant revisions, I would very likely leave the site.

Greetings, Carmen FET Team How about instead giving the community a say in the first place, before forcing this change on us. The new site looks horrible, both in usability design and visual design. This is a terrible way to go for the web version of this site.
