BDSM changed me more than I expected.

Recommended Posts

Four years ago I met my Master online.
At first, I thought I was exploring BDSM.
Later, I realized I was exploring myself.
These four years changed me more than I could have imagined. I discovered that submission, trust, obedience, rituals, and emotional intimacy are much more important to me than *** or punishment. BDSM didn't just reveal my fantasies—it revealed parts of my personality that had been hidden for years.
For that, I will always be grateful.
But people grow.
I grew too.
Over time, I realized that submission alone is not enough for me. I need trust, communication, emotional closeness, attention, and the feeling that there is space for me in someone's life.
My Master wasn't a bad person.
He didn't betray me.
He didn't hurt me.
We simply grew in different directions and at different s***ds.
Five days ago, I left.
There was no drama, no accusations, and no final fight.
Just acceptance.
What surprised me the most is that I don't feel broken.
I still love him, and I think a part of my heart will always belong to him. He became an important chapter of my life, and I will always remember him with warmth and gratitude.
But I also realized that loving someone doesn't always mean you should stay.
Sometimes love teaches you who you are, and then it's time to continue your journey.
I'm talking to new people now, but I'm not looking for someone to replace him.
I'm not ready to jump into another dynamic just because my body reacts.
After four years, I finally understand that for me, trust comes before submission.
Today I feel surprisingly peaceful.
Almost as if I have accepted both my past and my future.
Maybe BDSM didn't just give me a Master.
Maybe it gave me something even more valuable...
The courage to know myself.

Bdsm is very life changing in the best ways, I’ve never had the depth in a vanilla relationship like you can reach with a suitable bdsm partner

True submission come from trust and confidence that’s built over time….submission is the ultimate gift one can give to another and in my estimation the submissive actually wields the control, not the master.

Can anybody recommend me something to start my interest in Bdsm? So many women are into this, and right now I don't see it very interesting

Well, my suggestion would be to think about what turns you on and just go with that as a starting point because there’s anyone I have ever known got into BDSM their taste changed as well as their desires and of course it’s not for everyone

Very beautifully written. Well thought out. Well said. You sound like you have your life together. I wish you well in your journey. And a lot of fun! Your next Master will be lucky to find you. Best of luck
