I was curious if people had any advice on hosting pleasure parties? Comment on your experience with them or what you would like to experience

I have never hosted one. But I do think it would be nice if people did. I think it could be a better way of networking than meeting in a club or elsewhere. Also I think it would feel safer. Just my honest opinion

While never hosting one I would advise a certain level of caution. First I would attend some kink functions and get to know the community first. Knowing the local and state laws is kinda crucial too.

Fetlife is a good place to start with finding events. If you can find a local Munch the people there may have good local advice.

I’ve hosted pleasure parties in my home a few times. Those invited were a core group of about 12 people/couples that had personally known one another for a couple+ years, or the person(s) asking for a +1 were trusted to vouch for their guest.
Ground rules of consent and conduct, limitations/preferences, alcoholic beverage consumption, etc. were clearly stated/shared via a “Meet-n-Greet” introductory message shared by all confirmed attendees.
All of the get togethers had “bring your own foods to share” ranging from finger foods to more substantial meal fare such as pizza or homemade casseroles. Adequate bedding/sleeping arrangements were provided for anyone choosing to drink but didn’t have a designated driver available. All vehicle keys were surrendered by those who consumed any amount of alcohol.

I'm interested in your experience Faszer. Hosting as a couple seems fairly easy compared to a single man. I have similar interests and style as you, but would def appreciate any inside info on how to successfully put one together and have ladies and/or couples show up. I'm very good at vanilla party hosting.

Like, what you mean by "pleasure party"  - I googled and what I get is basically tupperware parties but for sex toys - in which case they're pyramid schemes that those who host are marks for.

And I guess on "Host" - whether this is your house or if you're hiring a venue.  With the former, do you really want strangers in your house? So my advice would be to connect with a local community first and to get to know people you can vet and gauge general interest. If you're hiring a venue then they have to be cool with whatever you propose and obviously there is cost to cover

What I'd like to experience.... I guess someone being clear with what they're proposing?

The best parties I've been to have been the ones with the most detailed and effective consent s***ches given to the group before play. I feel like it helps to create a safe and comfortable container of expectations and codes of conduct in advance so that everyone feels the most comfortable asking for and engaging in their own desires.
