Question for Doms about training/fighting

Recommended Posts

Just out of curiosity how many people who consider themselves doms train regularly in some form of martial (preferably the useful one like Muay Thai, boxing, wrestling, bjj, or mma) and of those who train, how many have actually competed?

I had a black belt in tae kwon do, the choking was the only useful part 😭

Boxing, Muay Thai and Sayoc/Kali. Also a competitive shooter. A man not capable of *** is a weak man.

I personally think being a Dom shouldnt have anything to do with fighting … being dominant is not a martial art or bring more powerful than another person. It’s being internally strong dominance comes from confidence and the natural ability to be strong and be a person of character regardless of the situation

I'd add, I'm aware of plenty of subs who do assorted combat sport trainingĀ

I was looking at it more from the perspective that the safety of your female is equally your responsibility, if you can’t protect her from whatever might arise, you haven’t earned the privilege of anything else.

Plus actual gyms where people spar and compete are one of the last bastions of a legitimate dominance hierarchy, all false claims and illusions are immediately washed away. It’s the opposite of the internet, as bonus you’ll meet some most solid people

If you can’t protect yourself, you can’t protect your family. Your sub is family.

Why is your question directed to Doms?
I’m a sub, I hold black belts in two disciplines and working on a third, I also strength train 2/3 times a week. I don’t have a Dom, still looking šŸ‘€ … I need to look after myself!

That’s amazing! Everyone should be able to protect themselves. I’m relatively new to the online BDSM community and kept hearing stories about ā€œfake domsā€ and found the concept bizarre. I figured I’d ask, it’s easy to portray yourself anything online, but your true character is on display in a fight

Started wrestling soon as I could walk, picked up boxing, Muay Thai, Dutch kickboxing between then and now lol. Actively training MMA for 14 ish years I also coach kickboxing classes and serve as a S&C coach
