I don't move, I'm half asleep…

then remember I'm mad at you & tell myself I don't care even though it's a lie…
Then you walk over, sit down on the bed, a hand runs over my back, you lean close, mouth next to my ear…(Baby I know you're up you say) sounding annoyed & amused,
Good I think to myself
Without looking at you I pull the blanket closer around me like it's armor against you
(Baby I'm sorry I missed dinner, come to bed) You say nuzzling my shoulder, a hand sliding around my waist nothing too sexual because this room is my sanctuary
(It wasn't just dinner) I mutter bratty tone at 45 percent a hint of hurt under it
You pull back thinking, before swearing softly & I don't know whether to be hurt you forgot or happy you didn't miss it on purpose…

I glance over at you

I look over at the clock it's 9:30 pm at night now
(A dinner at Che Vita… scene at the club?) I ask smiling
