What are strapons like? What should I expect?

Heya! I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but I bought some strapons in different forms for me to experiment wearing. And I'm wondering what they're like and what I should expect when I eventually use them. I should add that I'm a trans woman so advice from other trans women would be really helpful.

I appreciate the shout out, but honestly I don't have much experience with them. I've never used one on another person and I only own a strapless strap-on because I bought it for my ex and I took it when we separated 😂.
You don't have to answer here, but are you pre or post-op? Personally, I feel like I wouldn't enjoy a standard strap-on because I wouldn't really get much feeling out of it. I feel like ones that would penetrate you at the same time would be more fun. Take that with a grain of salt of course since I have no experience.

I am pre op sadly xp I got a jock strapon (the ones that are lower and are more supported by the butt), a boxer strapon (idk if I'll like it since it's more masc but I'll give it a shot just in case), and a brief strapon

Sounds like you've got a lot to play around with!
Again, no experience, but for me personally I imagine the enjoyable part of the experience is mostly the mental aspect. I feel like you either need to enjoy being a pleasure top, or enjoy the action of penetrating someone with a phallic-like object that's either larger than your own, or in my case, something you don't have of your own anymore.

Part of why I decided to get the strapons is because of how affirming it might be, since that's a thing cis women use too :3

I may get a proper one eventually, but right now I don't have a partner, so I don't have a use for one really. And being a lesbian, it's not super high on the priority list

As a strap on wearer And a trans woman I can provide insight into what to expect. Make sure you are tucked in all the way as when using the strap on it will bounce back and forth hitting your pelvis area and it could hurt what shouldn’t be there. Make sure you firmly tighten the strap on to not move and so it’s comfortable wearing as sessions could last awhile.

With the harness free ones we were limited on how fast and aggressive they can be used. The toy doesn't stay tight enough for passionate love making. You have to keep one of your hands on it. I suggest you get a harness that has a attached one or two for the pleasure of the person wearing it and a securing ring/place for the dildo your penitraiting your lover. Truly amazing view when you are holding your lovers ass cheeks spread wide open as you watch your toy devour their asshole
