Site Problems

I have had a thread deleted because I reported a problem with Connecting to the Site for quite a few Hours. I checked the site connection website and found that I was not the only one to have problems connecting. A Moderator, sent me a PM to ask was everything working again and promptly deleted my thread.

This is very unhelpful for others and also looks very bad for the site in trying to cover up problems. I have asked for the thread to be restored until the problem can be fully resolved and so that others can know that there was a problem that the IT Staff have been able to resolve. This seems to have been refused.

I am so sorry, but the site has gone down hill greatly over the past year and a little bit of ownership of a problem (of which there are many) would be very welcome and mostly respected by those who read it.

I thank the moderator who replied. She did not know what the site problem was, but felt that my original threat should be deleted anyway. I feel that I was fobbed off, so as not to add to the many site failings and problems.

If this has hit a raw nerve, feel free to delete my profile.

Yes, we did have some technical issues with the site today. They were fixed quickly, though, and everything should be running normally again now.

Regarding your first thread: since the site wasn't working properly at the time, it couldn't be approved. And now that the problem has been resolved, there's unfortunately no point in approving it after the fact.

Thanks anyway for reporting the problem! If you notice any technical issues again, it's best to contact our support team directly. That's where they can be dealt with the fastest.

I'll be closing this thread shortly as well, since we can all get back to the most wonderful pastime in the world now. 😉
