The best tip is don't panic if you don't immediately find the icons.
Help is on hand, you only need ask.

The latest clues are usually just a few comments back.
Once you've survived one treasure hunt the subsequent ones are easy.

The official clues are usually reprinted as a block by the lovely TF a few hours before each new release. Some folks going for the prize may well also post a recap of theirs. The "I can't find it"s are legit. A plea for more help. The garbage posts are the "Got it", "That was easy" etc litter from the attention seakers. They are repeatedly asked to stop but still persist. 
Finally and most annoyingly for Pixie and Friends of the Hunt, the most moronic posts are the plaintive pleas for help from members whose accounts are pretty much locked down by their filters.

For those new and just joining the hunt for the first time, welcome.  Here are a couple of different ways you can find the clues during the hunt. 

• Via the App - Head to the Kink Academy forum, open treasure hunt forum thread, expand your comments and scroll back through the comments
• Via V1 Desktop & Mobile Desktop - Head to the Kink Academy forum, open the treasure hunt forum thread and you can scroll through the thread or alternatively tap on the quick link clue glossary at the top of the page and it will take you directly to the start of that days clues.
• Via V2 Desktop & Mobile Desktop - you can either head to the Kink Academy forum and open the treasure hunt thread and expand the comments, or you can head to your treasure chest and tap on the grid boxes and for those icons released so far, the clues will pop up for that grid box.
