How do you go about finding local play parties ?

I haven't really done either. I met up with like 3 people exactly and only one of them was someone I didn't know or eventually date. And that's not specific to this site/app.

This makes me think that I should maybe throw a techno house party to introduce myself to people in my area that would be interested in these kind of things build a gang gang. I got plenty of sound equipment and activities

For me personally, I would always rather meet someone face to face, whether it’s at a play party, with the possibility of interaction there, or planning to play at a later date, and meeting someone in advance of that, to ‘size each other up’ so to speak.

There are exceptions to that, obviously. I live in the U.K., and have met people in Scotland, Germany, the U.S, and even Japan for play.

With the majority of those, it’s just not possible -or sensible to hop on a plane for a coffee and a chat. That takes planning, and a LOT of conversations via the net, including video calls.
