Cross over metal cuffs

I just came across these online and wondered if they're efficient. Two rings of metal crossed over each other to kind of make a sphere skeleton. The idea being that each ring goes around both wrists while crossed over either loosely down or tightly up in front or behind the body (up the back requiring some flexibility). 

My issue here is they look like something i could wriggle out of unless custom sized, has anyone used them and did sizing matter all that much?

If you have thin or dainty wrists they'll probably slip off I think

I've seen a pair in real life - and they're pretty secure

Mind.  The pair I saw IRL and saw demonstrated aren't necessarily the pair you saw online.  Sometimes, when there's doubt, it's best to only pick up what you can see/feel

Always best to look at things in real life I find, and majority of "shops" aren't like they used to be
