How to find a Dom - the elusive question

you go to where the Dom's are.  That could be online (like on this site) or to munches or fetish events.   Great, now you found them.  Now you got to get them interested...

So, my advice is self-learning.  If you are curious, what have you done?  Have you read any blogs? Any magazines? What have you done to boost your curiousity?
