No you're totally on base. And even if it is a sex app, being respectful is kind of a given

Louder pls for the idiots 🤣

And for the men out here complaining they never get an answer : have you checked your profile? Is it filled out and say something about you that actually helps me to determine if I want to get to know you ? Do you have pics that convey your vibe? Not just your abs with no personality ? Have you introduced yourself and what you want ? Have you maybe added in your message your interests, a personal picture and some info that makes your profile standing out and tangible?

It’s like IRL : if you don’t think about how you approach women and why nothing will happen .

If you text me : hi, what s up? I will not replay . That’s the game with a constant flood of messages and requests . We are drowning over here .

Thank you for your comment - It gave me a kick up the butt to put more effort into my bio.

It is a sex app! What idiot thinks theyre coming on to this app to find a husband, unless you're absolutely compatible with in the lifestyle.

Is it? Or is it a kink and BDSM site? I don't think they are the same. Perhaps you do.

I'd love to know where I said I was looking for a husband. Be interesting, as I already have one.

My point - as you seem to have missed it - is that the kind of sexual encounters we have as kinksters, but particularly those who engage in Ds, are dangerous and require trust. They are also deeply intimate and often involved a lot of mental play, so we should come together as people first... Not lead with our dicks.

Thank you for voicing this! If I am not mistaken, how the app is marketed now is also different from how it was before. It was more about community when I joined if I recall right. More like a virtual munch app than dating/hookup. But guess an app can not survive on a niche audience and has to appeal to horny vanilla people as well and now we have a mix of all sorts with conflicting ideas and expectations.

Maybe we should just not do the online thing tbh cos real life is much better and healthier and the screens are messing with everyone’s heads x

Most people are on both, I think. I know I am.

Oh i ve only been here 2wks and I have not been messaged by that many that have a fetlife. Like 5 of 70. I could find where on this app you can build a community outside of forums. But like how do you connect with your local community people for munchs and event on this app?

You don't. That is the problem with this place. But FL has no chat and I like the lobby here. I also enjoy the forums. I mainly use FL for events, here for socializing.

What do you mean lobby? On FL I go to group forums. Then again I've meet so many people IRL at events so socializing on FL is easy for me.

The lobby is the main chatroom on this app. You can find it above your DM messages.

I’m not sure how it’s marketed, but that’s what I expected when I downloaded it and how I use it. There are a lot of “dating site” features that may not have been there before, but I still don’t know how to use them. I think to some degree the App is what you make it. My DM’s are for questions and conversations. If we choose to get serious in the chat, it can be a great learning resource for those that are new. I was taught the things I know, so this space is a place for me to give back while constantly learning more. The lifestyle is complex, figuring out what you want and why is difficult without mentorship. That goes for Doms and Subs. I feel like the lifestyle as a whole has suffered from a lake of mentors.

You can search for local events under Search>Events, but if you don’t live in a high kink area, there may not be much there. You can also search for locals on the Search page, limit your Home Screen radius and post an ad asking if there are local munches or if people are interested in creating one. You can always be the one who starts the munch ❤️

Oh I see it. Thanks. wow, there is nothing within 200 miles which is very funny cause on FetLife there are 100days for my area. I'll have to talk with 1 of the local leaders and see if I can start post there munch on the app. Thanks for letting me.

Bullshit.

I was just given a talk by a 19 year old on being aware of where I am. She told me to either go fuck her however I want, wherever I want and the more sidekicks I bring the better or to move over to tinder. So fuck all you bitches needing validation about your humanity and that you matter to me or that you need mental stimulation before assfucking. You'll get all that and more should you want more, but first we fuck.
