Walked in your room
From down the hall
I didn’t want to see you at all
Not in that way
Nothing I say
Could ever take that *** away
Your hand in mine
We talked of our time
Warm memories and photos together in
Sunflowers
We laughed I cried
Nowhere to hide
And then you were carried away by the tide.

Said it was soon
Make the call
I couldn’t handle it at all
For once I pray
At least a day
I know your breaking
But just please stay
The caravan
Is where I ran
Where we’d play card games together watch
Sunshowers
Light streams inside
I sit beside
I drown as your carried
Away by the tide.

All that *** you endured so brave
Then Stage 4 is what took you away
I knew from the start that you could not stay
We cried as we lay you to dirt in a grave

Stared at the moon
Watched it fall
Felt like the final curtain call
The next day
I heard you say
You couldn’t rise to see it at all
Your hand in mine
Saw a flat line
Held onto the memories together in
Sunflowers
Always inside
My soul, my mind
Stay strong as your carried away by the tide

I crashed my car
Into that wall
Shouldn’t have walked away at all
You see me lay
Where should I stay
It’s dark but you’re here to
Light the way
We stand in line
Wait our turn
Those memories in photos together in
Sunflowers
We sang we cried
Nowhere to hide
I carried you then I was lost in the tide.

When I’m consumed
When I fall
I sometimes still pick up the phone and I call
Heard your voice
Inside my head
You said to stay a while instead
Raindrops sound
On the caravan roof
The stories and memories together in
Sunflowers
As hard I tried
The tears were cried
Then we were carried away in the tide

All that *** you endured so brave
Then Stage 4 is what took you away
I knew from the start that you could not stay
We cried as we lay you to dirt in a grave
