I knelt today and the world washed away,
under the steaming water of the shower. 
I knelt today, not for you, not for him,
I knelt for me and I felt its power.

I knelt and I felt a clarity of mind,
A peace and a quiet of a world left behind.
Water running over me, thoughts draining out of me,
I knelt and I let it all drain from me.

And what I found as I knelt was more than I hoped,
I found space, I found peace, I found I could cope.
Kneeling is power, and it powers over me,
Kneeling not for you, not for him, but kneeling for me.

This is so pure and touching.... I appreciate being able to read stuff like this. I've tried to submit to someone one time, and every fiber of my being denied it, fought against it. I tried so I could know what it felt like. But I can't get there. Thank you for this thoughtful insight 😊
