Sports & D/s

[Deleted Member]

So American football season is almost here, and this is our first time going through it as a D/s couple.

We’ve never watched a game together. We haven’t even hit kickoff yet but we already know it’s going to be a problem.

We support different teams. He’s my Dominant. I’m his submissive. But I’m also a brat with a deep love for scoreboard updates and trash talk when my team is winning. I already know I will not behave.

I’m trying to be proactive. Before the first game starts and one of us (me) gets put on protocol probation 😏

If you’ve ever tried to maintain a power exchange during a sports season, whether it’s American football, rugby, Premier League, or whatever your competitive poison is, I’m begging for advice.

Do you pause rules on game day? Do you turn the rivalry into part of your play? Do you set limits on gloating before someone ends up in time out?

Send help. Send stories. Send creative punishments for meme ***. We’d like to get through the season without blowing up the dynamic or each other’s egos 🤭

This is supposed to be a FUN post so please don’t read too much into this. If sports isn’t your thing, keep scrolling!

Start watching rugby league no helmets required and enjoy a pure contact sport

Oh I feel this… lol I have had both good and bad experiences with this… the best is to make wagers on the events, with payouts along the way… maybe separate the D/s dynamic at first and just have fun with each other… see how that goes and judge whether or not a D/s is a good fit for you both… especially if you are competitive and a brat… my brat last season had fun with me and we enjoyed our time, but we suspended the D/s during my teams games as I got to focused on the game and all the other details going on.. you don’t want to compete for attention and a brat will always want her attention from her Dom!

Oh just remove the helmets and padding and let the boys be men oops

Thanks for the advice! We’re both smack talkers… should be an interesting season.

Speaking as a non American… I have a periphery awareness of it. It’s also also not significant. But that’s not really what you are asking.

Can you incorporate that into your dynamic? Does the bratty interplay create a frisson of excitement? Can you find a way to enhance your play? Would it enhance things if you were ***d to wear his jersey? Or had to do something if they scored? Would it turn you on if ***d to do those things? There are lots of ways it “could” enhance things but it depends on you both.

This is something you can have as much or as little fun with as you like

If you feel sports rivalry would create a negative impact on your D/s relationship then don't include it.

But, there's fun you can have with it - like in terms of rewards or forfeits if teams win or lose.   I tend not to include sports rivalries in play, although have on the kinda bet/forfeit thing - I'm Newcastle and my wife is Sunderland, for example - although most other people I've played with don't have strong sports affiliation.
