Message/chat button already pink

Anyone know why when looking at messaging a member that sometimes the message button is already pink as if to say that I've already sent a message. Sometimes I think I've already messaged someone when actually I've not. Other times it's correctly a grey/dark colour when I've not yet contacted a user

Sounds like it's a bug but let's hear if others have experienced this on the app.

One thought I have, could you have spoken to them previously, they disabled their profile and you and/or they, deleted their messages?  They then return, so it shows message history that is no longer visible.  I know I've had that before myself.

I have experienced the same thing. It’ll highlight the message and spank button even if I haven’t done either.
