Amen to that! I'm a beginner and get that. Hard to find dom when they don't understand these facts 🥲

I am scared to know that someone has ever said someone needs to jump in to cnc. That is beyond dangerous and a major red flag.

I've had "doms" suggest I do that. I immediately block them because that is such a trust thing for me.
I'm also new to the lifestyle, so I'm learning where my boundaries are and how to respond to doms correctly.

Holy shit, is #10 actually a thing people say, god damn??
The most annoying one not on the list i keep seeing is the conflation of „dominant, sadist & extrovert“ and „submissive, masochist & introvert“

Historically that makes sense but I have had introverted D types and I am a sadist even though I am a submissive.

The biggest misconception I have heard is bdsm is all about sex. Abd with no sex comes no relationship

Good one: I have had more than one non-sexual submissive. It is still intensely intimate, however. For many people, it is the most intense intimacy they will ever experience

Likewise a common misconception is that it's not/never about sex.   For a lot of people it is.

And then for a lot more a lot depends on where you line on where sex is... as there is more to sex than PIV
