only thing to be aware is that if you are using any live video sites that do not require, or can bypass, photo ID - then they can do so for the people you are chatting with also

i.e. you have no way of telling they're of legal age.

I thought that WhatsApp is live based without the need for ID and it’s and to end encrypted.
