The Great Hunger.

Something feels off about social media lately.

It’s like everything is sexualized—and not in a real, organic way. It feels calculated. Like it’s all just marketing.

I’m a guy, so yeah, I see it nonstop. It’s constant—teasing, baiting, selling attention. And if you’re not careful, you catch yourself scrolling, clicking, feeding into it… even when you know there’s nothing real behind it.

That’s the part that’s lame.

It’s not even about sexuality—I respect that. Real confidence, real expression, raw lust, that’s solid. But this? This feels like an oversaturated marketplace where everyone’s trying to cash in on the same thing, the cashin!! Sound.

At some point it stops being attractive and starts feeling predictable. ***d. Fake. Silly. Ridiculous. Upsetting.

The bigger issue? It’s shaping what people think success looks like. Younger girls grow up seeing this and think this is the move—that attention equals value. They get attention online for inappropriate posts. Fucking up their sense of self.

That’s a dangerous message.

And for guys, it’s just a loop—constant stimulation with no substance behind it. No real connection, no real attempt, what is a man to believe then? You can purchase attention, affection, experience with ***.

It’s not “free” expression anymore—it’s a business model. Am I wrong for feeling this way? I feel the hunger, but nothing I see seems satisfying.

Nah, you’re right, social media ad’s, the provocative reels, etc etc .. it’s getting ridiculous

I knew I wasn’t crazy. I crave real perverts, not this bs shop window of someone you can’t ever have. Like wtf

[GentlemanDom]

You know ads are usually targeted towards your browsing preferences right? My advice is to use something like Ublock origin with the AI blocker.

[Deleted Member]

Yeah, but I mean, of course it going to be my preference. I love woman, I actually don’t mind it, I guess my bigger issue is the fakeness. They ain’t freaky, they are greedy.

[Lo****]

I find a lot of the “greed” here.. I’m real close to deleting this app at this point

[Deleted Member]

Dude, same!!! But like where do you go find people with the same interest? I don’t wanna go over some dark forum in the depths of the internet. Idk

I'M SOMEONE ELSE OUTSIDE OF ME SAID IT OUTLOUD TOO THANK YOU FOR THIS BECAUSE I KNEW I WASN'T FUCKIN TRIPPING

Welcome to the world of AI

[Deleted Member]

Damn, that is spot on. Been catching myself in that loop, have to tell myself to put the phone down and go do something else. I guess I knew this is what I was experiencing, but I didn't really have the words to put to it.

Just like all the women on here

Your attention is worth *** so big tech does whatever it takes to get and keep it. Algorithms boost sexual content because it's great at keeping your attention. The only real solution is to stop using these abusive platforms, nothing won't change as long as the cash keeps coming in.

Social media and the objectification of sex, and everything sexual, is dangerous. I dread to think what people that use it all the time are brainwashed into believing about reality..

Hey come on not ALL women on here are like that at all thank you very much

I Overall agree, even thou insee this issue not only Latein.. but for years now in almost all media. Yes that is a bad message, but in the end thats only possible because even expressing confidence thru sexual apperance, or defining the self thru it sends a wrong, even bad message to young people

The Internet is a vast shit hole full of people who want your *** or your heart or your soul.

Lately 😆

the joys of the algorithm

they show you things based on what you interact with - this has been the way for many years

while elements of this can be unhealthy, it'd be worse if they showed you what you didn't want to see.

[sardonicus87]

Nobody wants anything real anymore, online it's all fake bs people for fake online nonsense. Go out in public all the time, can't meet anyone anywhere because NOBODY else goes tf outside or goes anywhere or does anything offline ever, and when they do, they have their face buried in a phone the whole time or act like you're a weirdo for daring to say "hello" face-to-face without a screen.

I'm about ready to do more than just delete all apps. Sick of feeling constantly alienated and EVERYONE just absolutely, completely sucking everywhere. I'm just so checked out and done.

I hope the AI apocalypse happens soon and wipes out everyone.

I want a real woman! With really beautiful feet. To boss my boss ass around! Is that too much to ask from the algorithm or see mingling from any real 2 legged breathing woman.

So yes, I agree with the poster. How it over time psychologically destroys the softer willed of us. Absolutely. The cashiin comments sucks more! The greed is getting greedy! You should be able to find and communicate with at least a small group of like minded folks. I’d settle for ONE on any fucking platform! It’s a shitty situation right for the majority of us sheep! Nobody is truly Alpha anymore!

It was insane 25 years age and it is weirder now. It is confusing in the dating world. Instead of will he think i am too fat? It is now does he expect me to enjoy his fettish for shoes or be able to do half the kama sutra (sp?) It feels like everything is sexualized and you cannot escape it.
