Many men lie or misconstrue for a variety of purposes, including there is so much pressure to "not be small" or to have a BWC or BBC. There are some groups on fetlife for verified measurements... I believe there are very few at a true 8, then much less at 9, and no verified 10" or above. Just a huge point of reference compared to what is stated. Personally, I'm glad I'm not even bigger. I've had a few partners that could barely take it and it would have been either impossible or uncomfortable in a very bad way. Different anatomy combinations for different people.
