So I have a question about the treasure hunts . . .

Are they deliberately set up to make everyone move to the app?

In the last 2 treasure hunts I've have problems finding some of the icons even after being told where they were (they weren't there).  Now I could accept that I've made mistakes if it they didn't then appear on the app.  In fact today I've hunted on the website on my phone for one with no joy but after downloading the app I found it instantly!  I'm now sitting on my phone with the same page open for both - app has the icon, website still doesn't.

The only bit of shyte coming down the line is probably kicking us long term users off the old version of the website to the new. If you only have access to the new, I sympathize as it's utterly abysmal and very easy to dislike intensely.

Your last sentence is intriguing, as with the new website and the App, when you find an icon and claim it, it is moved from the original location to your Treasure Chest and erased from the place you found it. Might explain your conundrum. That is the absolute joy of the old website, as a copy is transferred to your chest but the originals all remain in their locations too so you can double check where you found them if gifting (even accidentally) or helping others.

As for the App, grabbing it via Google or Apple Store means that the puritans have had a chance to savage. Hence your limits being reduced to stars and commas as key words are removed or replaced. Also, I believe, you can't see raunchy photos and no videos, pretty much rendering it useless. Hope that helps xxxx

You can use the same username and password, to log into the website and lift the restrictions.  You need to make an active choice to do so. 'Edit Profile', 'General' "Show ASFW content in the APP"

@VKD I deliberately never collected the icon so I could check, it was visible on the app but not on the website.

My biggest issue is that I don't want the app on my phone as my kids and grandkids will use my phone so not what you want any of them seeing!

OK folks, it's the Twilight zone in a few minutes, 24 hours after the last icon was released. Anything you manage to do beyond this is very much on bonus or borrowed time. 

Then the Forum freezes and is closed to new posts. At some point icon activity ceases to work too. All a bit perplexing. However....

The launch message, very first post, page 1 of the Forum will be updated with three winners. One you'll recognize two you have no idea about. 

One from here, the English forum, one from the German forum and an International winner from all the other languages. It's why the first message is updated as it's a lot of admin to update each forum.

Next question, why X? 

It's a mixture of several things

Icon gifting, but a few hundred will suffice as it's labour intensive and paid accounts have an advantage.

Hints. Volume, relevance and wittiness. I've noticed that those who recap them all each day have been favoured recently.

Finally, engagement and assistance to others, chatting loads and helping out makes you a valued Hunter.

Plus the handicap. Winning means you probably have to sit a few Hunts out as nobody wants to see the same name over and over, however deserving they are.
