How bout instead of advising women to contact quiet men, you advise men to not be creeps? Lol. The women in this scenario are not the problem, so why are we the ones that need to change our behavior?

I've have strangers send me the most obscene, dehumanizing, sexualizing, messages every day. Your first interaction with someone should not be that. We're people, with feelings. We deserve respect and for men to respect our consent, or lack thereof. You don't have consent from someone you've never interacted with to sexualize and dehumanize them.

As I said before im not telling anyone to change their behavior im only pointing out a common occurrence and offering an out of the box thought. I have never once in my message pointed to anyone being "the problem" just have noted common perspectives that I have heard. I have also said. "A guy who acts out their predator instinct would not change their behavior for genuine reasons" They would be more likely to hide their true nature only to let it come out later when its too late. Wouldn't u rather find out who the trash is right away? I have already acknowledged men are doing creepy messaging and feel ashamed for my gender. And feel bad for the woman having to endure it. Teaching those men to be polite would be a disservice in my option. Since that politeness goes against their nature and would ultimately revert back at the worst moment.

So I recently changed my profile to friendship only for the moment. I delete all of the vulgar, creepy messages. I recently I got a really nice respectful message from a guy who accepted the parameters that I was dealing with. We hit things off amazingly and long story short he came down this weekend for a visit. It was the most perfect evening I've had in a long time. He was going to change his schedule so he could come down this coming weekend. He had a Mountain dew addiction that we always joked about. He said he was going to go get some Mountain dew and asked for directions to the nearest convenience store. I gave him the directions. He left and never came back. 8 minutes after leaving my house he deleted our entire chat thread on a different chat app. Deleted any subsequent messages I sent him. Hasn't responded to any messages on this app. So I'm quite perplexed. Would not have expected that type of cold behavior from someone who is so seemingly polite and a gentleman during our convos. His silence speaks volumes and is its own message, so I wished him well and have moved on. So, I guess I'm just saying you have to be careful with the quiet ones too.

Thanks for the message. It's appreciated.

The good news is you usually don't need long to figure out who's real. Bots and spam accounts show it almost right away, an opener that could've been sent to literally anyone, nothing about your actual profile, or jumping straight to something explicit before you've said much back. A real person sticks around when you don't play into that. And something like an unsolicited pic isn't a signal to wait out and see if it gets better, that already is the intention, block and move on. The ones actually worth your time tend to ask you something specific instead of performing at you
