Gomez and Morticia

Who do you think the Dom was really in their dynamic, cause I lean in favor of Mortica.

What are all of your thoughts?

Absolutely, Morticia. The cartoon series heavily suggested Gomez was a masochist and loved being put on the rack.... yes I watched that as a kid... that explains a lot about me now..

I actually think it was a give and take. They supported each other in their goals, gave each other what they needed.. instep with each other. Does it matter who was the Dom? Not one damn but because it worked for them, however their dynamic was.

I think Gomez was a masochist sub but pleasure dom, and Morticia was the overall Dom

I think they switched. Morticia has domme energy outside of the bedroom but often those people are subby in the bedroom.

I seem to remember Angelica Huston’s Morticia being on her back and yet fully in control lol!

She was the Dom - and he 100% got punished if he didnt come up with acceptable new ideas for play. Like in a “you have to host a 4H club meeting” kind of way.

I’d say they switched with Gomez being dom leaning. They lead and encourage each other through support and love. Gomez didn’t just love Morticia he EARNED for her every second of their lives so in my opinion they both submitted to each other day after day.

My head cannon is along the lines of @Moon_Fire and @@joyousmischief. nbsp;I think that they were both switches. And especially depending on the series you're referring to it shows various ways that they interacted.

Morticia is textbook sadist and Gomez is a masochist, but I’m not sure there was a D/s dynamic.

Gomez def a cuckold in some shape or form

Not even close.. He was insanely in love with Morticia and he him.
Their marriage is famous in pop culture, for them being totally obsessed and loyal to each other.

I reckon they switched. Neither was always in charge they shared the balance of power and the dialect between them reflected that i reckon.

the main thing about the Adams is they were a counterculture couple - during a lot of the writing the mainstream had a lot of "WIFE is BAD" type of cartoons and caricture and so the Adams subverted that by having a devoted husband who adored his wife and wasn't afraid to show it.

In itself, also, not necessarily submission, but devotion.

Definitely a level of goddess worship, but I agree I don’t see submission in it.
