Be**** Posted 5 hours ago I think putting all of your eggs in one basket can only end badly for you in this day and age of dating, but the best way to combat it is to push yourself to reach out to different people. If you wait for ‘the one’ to come around, I *** you’ll perish before you manage contact.
Ro**** Posted 2 hours ago 4 hours ago, NotFran said: For me, it's mostly an ADHD-thing, so it's not really like I consciously obsess over that person... more like a song you got stuck in your head and can't get out no matter what you try, so you have to listen to it on repeat until you brain has had enough of it lol Same! It’s an OCD trait too but I can recognize when it happens at least so I try to keep a few ppl to talk to or other things to do to distract myself bc it’s frustrating when I can’t shake them out of my main focus.
Cam150 Posted 1 hour ago I have a type and I might hyperfixate for a day or 2 but its tough to get past that point without a sign of mutual interest. Apps are pictures and words and without that vibe being established i tend to lose interest rather quickly. It also tends to be extremely hard, at least for me, to get the "in" and get comfortable and actually start to vibe through text.
