Guys who comment on pictures with 'message me'

I see this all the time and I really have to wonder why.

You need a subscription of some sort to comment on pictures in the first place. I assume you would have messaged them already. Having a subscription means you have the ability to see if your message has been read or not.

From my experience like 95% of the messages I send get read at some point and if I don't get a reply I just assume that they weren't interested.

I'm not the best when it comes to writing an opening message. I sometimes think I write way too much or not enough or am too generic or too detailed. Either way it didn't get their attention and that's fine.

But to then go and comment on every picture "please message me back" just screams fake-ness and desperation to me. Which surely seems like an even bigger turn off.

So have any women seen one of those 'message me back' comments and actually messaged them back or am I correct in assuming it never works?

And any guys reading this that do that - why?

It genuinely ***es me off. If I wanted to message someone, I would’ve done it already. I find it demanding and disrespectful. They simply get ignored or blocked.

I always see it in the way of “everything is a kink”. Usually the constant messaging or commenting is part of a rejection kink (whether they’re cognitive of it or not).

I think it's more along the lines of laziness. You see the same behavior on vanilla social media sites. It's their form of "shooting their shot".

If a man just genuinely wrote a normal introduction message like he would to say hello in real life, it'd be a hell of a lot better than the way most of them speak nowadays. No "message me" comment works either. We aren't a dog to command. Message or don't. Just don't assume because you send one, you are owed anything. The amount of times I've tried to reject respectfully and get absolute *** for it. Now I just "no thanks." Then the people who have been polite, I reply- they then automatically assume that means I'm attracted and owe them that for some reason. World's messed up. If we can't even say hello or smile without being read into and projected we mean more from it, we need to be teaching lessons on this.
If a guy just asked if she meant more because she said hello, he'd get the honest answer, regardless if it was just a hello or more.
Boggles my mind communication is the one thing only human kind struggle to do.

Message filter, maybe? Not sure if parameters a member has set apply to commenting on content as well.

I usually ignore those messages. Although, there was one exception, and I'm glad I made it lol
However, when I find the same person is posting on multiple pics of mine to dm them, it is perceived as creepy and stalker like behavior. Red flag, RUN.

Glad I am not the only who thought is was creepy, desperate, rude or just plain weird.

They’ve either messaged and gotten no response and the app won’t let them message a second time, or, they’re outside the filters of the person, such as age, so the app wouldn’t let them message to begin with.

Might be bc of message filters or whatever, I'm often really slow at replying to people bc too many open chats overwhelm me, but if I see a comment like this I'm instantly 100% more likely to ignore or even block them, even if I might've been interested in their profile before, just bc it really annoys me.
However, for me personally there's a difference between just a bland "message me" and "Hey, I can't message you but would like to get to know you" or something like that, and I might respond to the latter one.

I feel like it comes down to insecurity and desperation, honestly, which is sure to make *anyone* soft and/or dry as a bone.

Agreed. The effort in communication makes a huge difference.

It does seem a wee bit needy. Particularly if it's a Dominant saying it. How on earth is a Dominant going to create an aura of power and exaltedness if they're going round numerous random photographs and practically begging to be messaged?

It's embarrassing.

Personality, I never initiate contacr, via PM or otherwise. It's unseemly for a Dominant to initiate contact.

Even if It were my intention to initiate contact, I stil wouldn't contact anyone here. Most profile descriptions are blank. How are you supposed to get to know about a person from a blank profile? Gain psychic powers?

The majority of them are just using the ***terg*n approach and hoping something sticks. I’ve can’t say 100% that it doesn’t, but most I’ve spoken to say it’s a huge turn off.

Sometimes it’s due to filters, such as age, in which case, if a filter stops them from sending a proper message, they aren’t suitable. The problem is they don’t get that, and want what they want.

Personally, if someone does it to me, it’s a huge turn off, 1 because they’re clearly either filtered out or lazy and 2 because I don’t respond to the demands of random internet strangers 😅

it's one of the worst low efforts.   In some cases it is a passive aggressive public "I messaged you, you didn't reply" in some it really is just whiny low effort low value behaviour

the other thing as well is it broadcasts to the other 20-30 people he messaged that week he's after, well, anything

Yeah it's slightly weird, majority of girls don't message them first anyway

Because you have to send a gift before you can message them most of the time, and I’m not gonna waste ***, time and effort someone who might not be interesting anyways

It feels gross to me. Like they want other people to see them begging you for a response. Men know how to get a woman’s positive attention so when they do the complete opposite it is blatant disrespect. I don’t put up with that.

when the option to send a gift comes up it means either (a) you're outside her filters. Therefore she's not interested. Or (b) is 10 years younger than you and hasn't updated her filter.

In both cases, commenting 'message me' is weak, and in the latter, somewhat creepy

I was unaware of those facts. Also, you’re on a kink app not sure what you classify as creepy?

Because many guys who “gets laid” focus on quantity. While those who want more of the quality will be less upfront about it and more observant in the beginning.

No, really. Now, I’m most definitely not going to message you.

Now you have the info, it might help with decisions

Though the whole "it's a kink site" thing is tired; it doesn't stop some behaviour being creepy or perceived as thus. Let's say for example someone is chatting with a lady, and then the lady looks over and sees the person has written "message me" on 10 different people's profiles - creepy or not, how do you think it'll go down?

If however the lady happens to notice all of these 10 people are all considerably younger than the person they're chatting to - again, perceptions.  This doesn't mean the whole "a 40 year old and a 25 year old is wrong" kinda thing - but patterned behaviour.   Equally, I guess, if the person saw as well as people younger there were folk who said they were only looking for women, or only looking for this, or whatever else where you clearly fall out of their criteria - again, the perception might swing towards boundary pushing

That people are doing this because they're ultimately trying to bypass filters or have used up all their weekly icebreaker messages never looks great. As the comments from women on this thread back up.
