when it serves you no purpose that’s when you stop

How much does it need to serve me? That’s what I’m struggling with. How do I decide if the good is outweighing the bad when I’m blinded by my desire?

when yu have to keep questioning yourself thats when its obviously not serving you it doesnt have no effort in it an your the only one trying an the other person isnt its time to let go an find somthing else .

I think you stop trying when you realize you’re no longer holding on to what the connection actually is, but to what you hoped it could become.

In my case, it took me more than two years to come to that realization.
Two years of hoping, questioning, overthinking, and holding on to something that had so much potential but never really became anything more.

And what hurt the most wasn’t necessarily the lack of commitment. It was the constant hope. The way someone can keep giving you just enough to make you believe there’s still something worth waiting for, without ever clearly communicating that they’re not willing to take things further.

Maybe they don’t intend to hurt you. But at some point, they must realize that keeping someone emotionally invested while offering no real progress comes at a cost to the other person.

Eventually, I realized that the connection I was desperately trying to preserve was causing me more *** than happiness.

So I walked away. No big argument, no dramatic goodbye, no final attempt to make him understand. I simply blocked him.

Not out of anger or to punish him, but because after more than two years, I finally allowed his actions to give me the answers his words never did.

And perhaps that’s the answer to your question.

You don’t have to stop loving or wanting someone to realize that holding on is hurting you. Sometimes letting go isn’t about giving up on them. It’s about finally choosing yourself. 🫂

Good times/qualies/memories from the past should not be used as a dangling carrot for the future. It's not a good indicator and will often let you down.

If they don't put in the effort, they don't are, and it's just a one-way street.

First off, stop being so vague.. you need to be blunt as fuck. Whose fault is it really? Without fighting.. grow up both of you. If you really give a shit you shouldn’t be questioning things. You should stop what you’re doing and find the real truth. Do you want each other, or not? Are you attracted to each other, or not. Can you fix those things without being a little bitch about it? If no just walk away and learn what not to do next time.

You may have a point. But what happens when one person repeatedly tries to get clarity while the other keeps avoiding honest communication, offering just enough hope to keep them emotionally invested?

That’s when things can become incredibly complicated and emotionally draining. And I think that’s exactly what this post is about. Sometimes it’s not a lack of willingness to communicate. It’s the lack of clear answers from the other side.

You're thinking about it too much. Life is a river, catch the flow or let the current carry you. Do not panic or you will sink and drown.

When is it time? From what I see, it’s now. Your description is wonderfully written. Thank you. It is the silence between communication. But, we mere mortals hold on to what could have been. What we wish it was. The good times replay in our minds like a Hollywood blockbuster. While we “forget “ the problems like yesterday’s news.

I see your ***. Your resignation to lost dreams. My condolences for the missing joy. Only hope of a better future can guide you on to a bright and happy future.

Best wishes!

I actually appreciate this so much. I definitely do have a tendency to get caught up in a pity party. Thank you for the reality check.

If you keep reaching for nothing you are just going to sink further into depression. Could haves and living in the past will kill your soul

Its a vibe ..vibration cause every cell in our bodies is electric. Low electrical, low vibes. Its only health. I love health. Keep ur energy and up your potassium atleast if it feels sluggish im a relationship. Trust me hearts are amazing even when health isnt the centerpiece❣️

It sounds to me like it’s time for you to let go and you know that. But I’ve learned that letting go and burning a bridge don’t have to be the same thing. Let go without anger or hate and maybe this person will reach out to you in the future and something will be different.. but accept that they might not.. and realize that would be an acceptable scenario if they never did. You’d be much happier in a relationship where the energy is reciprocated.

I had a girl like that said she couldn’t wait for the next words I wrote that every word I sent chills down her spine and how emotionally mature I was and then poof nothing the a little response then poof again even after I told her if you like me make the time for me my life is extremely busy and I found the time so I left the match

This is so beautifully written and I resonate with it all so much. I feel like you actually see me, thank you for that. The finally choosing yourself part is something I really need to hear

Hurt people hurt people. I need to pick up and move on. I realize I am looking for things most people are scared shitless off.

Constantly reaching out and waiting for a response means you're putting them first...... where are they putting you??? I am going through this very thing as well where if I don't say hi first we don't talk. Literally. If I don't reach out in anyway I won't hear from them. Then the moment I reach out we chat conversation dies down and we go for days I'll get the odd text.... are you mad at me? Why? Because I didn't reach out? I'm learning and trying to walk away. Even as I write this it stings. But for me I have to move on. You may think it's time already but the *** is still fresh. You do you and fight for you not someone not willing to fight for you with the same energy

Like, when it's obvious the other person isn't interested - you let them be - no matter how you feel

equally, if you're not happy with the interactions or how they respond or so on - you let them be
