Like, if it's at a swing club then - well, the entry to the swing club

if it is at someone's home - potentially not, but, do you already know who you are inviting and are they reliable? Because otherwise it's giving out a home address to strangers

If a space is hired, or anyone else is being paid to be there - who is covering the costs? 

I remember the first time I went to a gangbang (which I did not pay to attend, it was at someone's house but folk were vetted and they were about to move out anyway) I got down a rabbit hole of googling what to expect and there's some fanciful blogs suggesting what people should do if they're hosting a gangbang including arranging fluffers and a DJ (?) and if you didn't know someone happy to just do it, then to pay someone but that it wouldn't be unreasonable to ask for attendees to pay a contribution towards the cost.

However, in some of my experience, one of the biggest challenges is actually getting guys to show up - it's certainly something which attracts the biggest timewasters : I did a fuck-a-fan gangbang with a fairly well known pornstar, which I also didn't pay for - but there were THIRTY men applied, ELEVEN passed vetting but only FOUR showed. Four out of Thirty is abysmal.

It all depends on the venue. If it’s a promoted event then they will most likely be a charge. The venue, drinks, snacks, sanitary products, etc cost ***. Outside of a private party, I think men always pay. Couples are typically reduced, and women may be free. If you’re a member of a club there may be membership fees and levels

Yes! My girlfriend and I did one a few months ago. 130 messaged with interest, over 50 vetted past initial interest, 8 confirmed to show the morning of... only 4 showed up. Also, asking for a contribution toward the hotel room is not out of line.

yep, two fold there - so - any costs you have it's not unreasonable to ask a contribution for - if that does happen to be more than your costs, then also consider, they're shooting their load and leaving - leaving you with all the clean up, and it's your name on the booking taking any risk if there's problem

but also a second point - people who have put in a contribution, especially in advance, are more likely to show.  (and, if they don't, it again helps with the costs)
