Yeah every one wants casual sex, but now in 2025 it could be argued that sex has become too casual, lack of treating people like people and more like objects, constant degrading can lead to feeling desensitised and dehumanised, but the few hours of pleasure makes it feel worth it until they leave in the morning.

I echo observing/experiencing an apparent lack of basic human respect, as well as the skipping of truly cool experiences, and of course an absence of any sort of sincere communion. Feeling, caring about having mutually pleasing encounters, not rushing from ejaculation to ejaculation.. I most often feel like porn fodder when negotiating casual sextivities.. such a chasm between (those two) ways of regarding sex and hookups and such.😮💨

ey**** Posted June 6 this feels like something which needs a comparable baseline to but - some general good things on modern dating particularly regarding 'hook up' - folk are more aware of non monogamy as a consensual option - and so can accept you're not cheating - while some areas are better resourced than others, munches, swing clubs, fetish events are more common and accepted - there is less social pressure for anyone to settle down with a partner, meaning folk don't have to 'make do' - meeting folk online is a valid option as well as from social circles downsides sometimes a little bit too much in the way of entitlement some online spaces lead to men pushing women out
