What's the best thing & the worst thing about hookups in 2025

I'll start. Worst is.. not enough qualitynon-distracted time with current prospects. Best is the normalization of Poly, ENM, and Swinger relationships

Ironically how causal they are. Yeah every one wants casual sex, but now in 2025 it could be argued that sex has become too casual, lack of treating people like people and more like objects, constant degrading can lead to feeling desensitised and dehumanised, but the few hours of pleasure makes it feel worth it until they leave in the morning.

Having a functional loving connection is the best way to be a successful deviant person. I’m not an extrovert or an introvert. I’m a pervert

kinky for getting real weird with communication dominating

Worst is... no dates in 2025
The best is... no dates in 2025

Couldn't agree more. Im looking for something that can develop into the don sub dynamic but mostly meeting men who like to just "hook up" ya no, not 4 me ...

The worst is fake people they say you gotta pay to play and I get it so I've paid up front twice and still ain't had a hook up

Same... I have found a few prospects to build a dynamic with though.

People's definitions vary wildly. As do expectations... I echo observing/experiencing an apparent lack of basic human respect, as well as the skipping of truly cool experiences, and of course an absence of any sort of sincere communion. Feeling, caring about having mutually pleasing encounters, not rushing from ejaculation to ejaculation.. I most often feel like porn fodder when negotiating casual sextivities.. such a chasm between (those two) ways of regarding sex and hookups and such.

That best: It can become wonderful date.
The worst: It can become a complete disaster.
I should add, that I always prefer a long-term-Dynamic, when it's possible.

Best: easier to stay single and focused on other aspects of life.
Worst: nobody to form a meaningful connection with

this feels like something which needs a comparable baseline to

but - some general good things on modern dating particularly regarding 'hook up'

- folk are more aware of non monogamy as a consensual option - and so can accept you're not cheating

- while some areas are better resourced than others, munches, swing clubs, fetish events are more common and accepted

- there is less social pressure for anyone to settle down with a partner, meaning folk don't have to 'make do'

- meeting folk online is a valid option as well as from social circles

downsides

sometimes a little bit too much in the way of entitlement

some online spaces lead to men pushing women out

While there's been plenty O' poly normalization, there has also been excessive dequeeralization... Not a real word, but you get me.
There are not enough lesbians in too many areas, like mine. It's been frustrating & incredibly difficult 🫤

ESPECIALLYest, still nowadays, when they should know better, WAY too many hetero~cis men have this archaic belief that we're somehow going to change our brains for 'em.
If we couldn't make ourselves straight before the coming out process (& most of us tried), it's not possible.
Why would they want to shove us back in the closet? It's more harmful than people think.
Why would a body part we naturally avoid, also magically flip us? 🤨
You'd think in 2025, people would be better informed.
Moving forward {2025 & everything after}, let's try to be more lesbian~friendly... & not in the ways they already are.
Anywonk, being turned on by Lady~lovin' is understandable, but treating us like we're switchable entertainment is simply not cool.
✖️😎
Take care & stuff!

snuggles~&~snogs 😘
