Dr**** Posted July 16 What size crate should I get a female frame, 5'8"? Not for kink, necessarily. For puppy play and safety. I want them comfy, a little confined, yet still able to snuggle and sleep.
Rainydaye88 Posted July 16 I got a foldable crate in XL for ~50 bucks (she being 5'6/5'7) mostly cause it gave her the room to decorate with sheer valances, find a super plush pup bed, fit a bunch of her stuffies, and hang some fairy lights. I have seen nicer crates that almost look like entertainment systems with a wood top, but the door size is the biggest concern to me. It's easier to put a leash on when it's time to come out of the crate when you're not fighting the door.

Th**** Posted July 16 It's best to look at actual dimensions rather than size. It might also depend on what you're using it for, as in how long they'll be in it and how much room you'll want them to have. I'd say at minimum a 48" there are options with 2 doors so you have more flexibility with which side it opens on. If you don't need it to fold for storage as easily there are drop pin crates that go up to 54" Remember for safety that they can always get out if there's an emergency.
Dr**** Posted July 16 Author I was debating splurging and buying them one of the more furniture ones, with the wooden top. Something XL sized, probably. They're super small, frame-wise, but i wan't to invest in their safety and comfort.

Depending on the brand "XL" means different things Edited July 16 by ThaliaV

Depending on the brand "XL" means different things Yeah, I'll likely put it in their bedroom when they get a separate room, so they can go freely in and out, or as i command. So i want them to be able to decorate it.
Deleted Member Posted July 16 XL works great for the most part. You just have to do the flooring, so to speak.
Rainydaye88 Posted July 19 Finally found the specific one I had bought (It was a few years ago so I had to do some homework lol) 33" H x 48" W x 30" D worked great for us.
Eb**** Posted July 22 Took my sub measurements and found that 48” H x 35” W x 25” D would be more comfortable ( they’re 5’6 and it still has room to move a bit)
