de**** Posted November 2 Essentially I have a little bit of a curiosity for are the candy wax bottles good for wax play like a little sweet treat then some sweet stings
SubDomDomSub Posted November 2 Yes, those bottles will have a very low melting point and as always, start by holding them far enough away from the skin to prevent from *** and then move closer to get the desired effect.
Si**** Posted November 2 Stay away from any wax that has scent, glitter, and pretty little additives and rule of thumb for wax temp is the darker the wax, the hotter the temperature. The reason why no scent or pretty little additives? I had a very good friend who was doing a wax play session at a party she did the session it went very well. The candles that she were using were very pretty in different colors with glitter and they smelled amazing. A little while later she decided to jump in the hot tub. The moment she hit the water she started screaming. Something in the scented candles reacted with the chlorine and chemicals in the pool water and she ended up with third degree burns across every part of her body that the candle wax had touched. She had to be rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. She still has the blister marks today. After years of playing with them my favorite go-to's are actually the Jesus ones from the dollar store. LOL They come in a multitude of colors, their melting point is relatively low and they don't have any additives, scents or glitter. Most likely it was the mylar in the glitter that caused the reactions but we don't actually know for sure. If the candles only have sugar in them then just be careful because burns from melted sugar are pretty ***ful so just something to be aware of. Stay safe!
